I got a postcard in the mail and responded to a survey regarding our recent trip in January. They were asking if we would have been interested in a Disney motor coach to take us from the airport & having specially tagged bags that would bypass the baggage claim area and go right to the bus.

Sounds like Mears, but it would be run by WDW, & perhaps, be better.

Thought that it was an interesting survey.

Also asked lots of questions of whether or not we rented a car and what we did offsite, etc...

Hmm. That is an interesting survey. I don't know if I would like the idea of the the bags going right to the bus, unless I can see that they make it on the bus before I get on it. Boy would it stink if you got all the way to the hotel to find out you were missing a bag.

Wow,

I'd have Disney take my bags, any time, in a heartbeat. We booked air through DCL 3 years ago, and I never saw my suitcases until I opened the door to my Poly room, and there they were! It was great. However, this summer we booked SW to get the cheap fare, and because our connections were awful on the way back last time. I like having some control of when and where I fly! The down side is, I guess we will be waiting at baggage claim and lugging our luggage!

Even if my bags were lost, I always keep the three M's (my family's essentials) with me in my carry-on ... Medicine, make-up, and Mickey info... so we'd just check into the hotel and hit the parks. I wouldn't want to lose a minute of my Magic time worrying about my suitcases. Chances are they'd show up before bedtime! If they didn't we'd buy toothbrushes, etc. and Mickey/Minniie t-shirts to sleep in!

It certainly would be interesting to see...

As for worrying about lost luggage... it's certainly a valid concern. However, when you think about how many thousands of pieces of luggage that get handled every day, the actual amount that gets 'lost' is very minute. Not to mention, the majority of the time the luggage isn't really lost, just misplaced. As in, it didn't make a connection.

Also, since the luggage never hits the baggage claim, you don't have to worry about theft and whatnot.

Of course, it also means that you might have to pack a bit more in the carryons, but the convenience of not having to schlep luggage all around the airport would be great. Just get off the flight, on the coach, and off to Disney. Baggage claim can sometimes take awhile, and that time would be saved, getting you to the parks sooner.
