Why does Disney sell these rooms through Priceline for insane discounts? Why don't they just offer a separate sale on Disney's website? Is it just the optics of it all and Disney doesn't want to have such a big sale on their website?

Maybe they figure people who prioritize staying onsite and are willing to pay for it go to the Disney website, whereas people who prioritize getting a good deal and are willing to stay offsite go to Priceline. So by doing this they reach both audiences, while selling as many rooms as they can at the highest price possible. Just a guess.

Just booked AKL for my son’s spring break from Vermont schools for 298 a night and there was an additional 100 promo. Ended up being about 200 more for the 4 nights then pop with my annual pass discount.

Thank you for the tip! Just booked AKL for spring break 4/23-27, after the discount it worked out to be about $255 a night!

I agree with what @gabby said - in addition third parties will make deals with Disney to sell blocks of room.
The 3rd party (like Priceline) gets the block at a discount and can pocket whatever they can make. When they start getting nervous about sales.... they use hidden deals to unload them.

We magically found airfare on SW from BWI for $100 each way on Easter Weekend and were able to snag four nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge through Priceline for $300/night. It showed up as a Bonnet Creek area hotel with 4 star, 400 reviews, 8+ rating, Choose your Room (Standard 2 Queen Beds with Microwave, Fridge, Wifi), and no resort fees. I used the Priceline Tool that @JJTNY posted to confirm--thank you for that!

This is the second time we've used hidden deals (last time was Christmas Week 2021 through Hotwire). It was easy to link the Priceline deal to MDE and select our guests.

For three RT SW tickets and 4 nights at AKL we are up to $2000. I'm not looking forward to buying the park tickets though.

Sounds great! I highly recommend undercover tourist for tickets. Usually you can save a little since they sell adult tickets at the child price.

Just make sure you price compare. I’ve used them and saved money but have also priced them when they were actually more money than buying direct

Great tip! I do think the 1-2 day tickets are often better priced if you buy direct but we usually buy longer stays.

Could this be All star music? I have POP booked for 2 weeks prior but just looking for 2 more nights for Easter weekend.
The 'kitchen' part makes me think it would be 'music'?
I currently have all star sports booked for the 2 nights with undercover tourist but that came to $405.

It looks like it is a strong match to me.
I forget* which values have family suites but it appears the 120/471 pricing is for a std room (great deal) and a family suite (not so good of a deal)

*Edit- the value resorts that have Family Suites are AoA and ASMu

Believe or not....you may be able to do it with the PL confirmation number....try it.

Even when I linked a reservation with Disney for an earlier trip, the system always showed the shorter PL number and not the longer Disney number.
