:rotfl::rotfl: Booked my ADRs, a bit late but don't care that much about where we eat.

We are going during free dining so have the dining plan.

I still have 3 ts credits and no idea what to do with them, I already have a 2 credit meal booked too and don't want anymore because it uses another evening up . I don't like this ADR thing and having my day/park planned. I have tried to book mostly lunches so at least our evenings are free from ADRs and just booked a couple for dinner. My daughter likes Beaches and Cream so I guess we will eat there to use up one of the credits.

I booked Yachtsman Steakhouse, 1900 park Faye, CP and Kona Cafe so happy about them. :cool1::cool1:

well last year we managed to get several walk up ressies for lunch. we went as soon as the restaurant opened to see what times they had but we were only 2 people so it may have been a little easier.

Lunch TS places have a lighter menu sometimes (e.g. more sandwiches and lighter bites) and may not take up as much time as a proper dinner

also where are you staying? because you could always try and eat at your resort saves on traveling and they can sometimes easier to snag than in park places

we never go with a full adr list as we want to play it by ear sometimes and didn't find it too hard to find places to eat!

When are you going? Save for the odd major peak periods, it you are flexible, my experience is that you can get walk ups and last minute ADRs.

We have secured 3 such ressies just by stopping at the guest services desk at our resort in the morning. It was Easter week so not exactly low crowd levels and 2 of the ones we got were Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys - pretty popular. Moreover, we got much desired times: 7.10 am for CM and 8.05 am for CP.

This is one of the reasons I didn't upgrade my QSDP to regular, despite making 6 ADRs - I do want some nice TS, but don't want to be tied to them every day.

I am staying at SSR 1st two weeks in November, the 1st week is meant to be busy though because of Jersey week.

I have booked a few lunches at the restaurant at SSR as we enjoy relaxing in the afternoon a the resort. We usually do morning and evenings at the parks. I like the evenings free to go where we feel.

Well it looks like you know your own habits and have planned well to accommodate your Disney lifestyle (you know what I mean ;)). To me this is one of the key deciding factors between stressful and relaxing.

I don't think that first week of November will be that busy.

I hope so:rotfl: I don't seem to plan as much for WDW now (I used to plan everything!) so have tried to plan my adrs to allow as little planning as possible apart from a few days:rotfl:

Do you fancy any breakfasts?

We did a few last trip at 8am and it meant then the rest of the day was not tied to an adr.

We liked tusker, akershus and crystal palace.

I booked the one with Alice in Wonderland and the Mad hatter at the GF, I may book the akershus one too. We did akershus for dinner last time.

I have actually thought about trying to change one of our CP reservations to 1900 park Fare, but decided to leave it for now and see how we feel at the time. It is for our last full day which we will spend in the MK so it may be more convenient to stick with what we have. And we do love CP :cloud9:

Well, if your dining plan is free, does it matter too much that the last few credits have not been used? Obviously if you have paid OOP for it, then I would definitely try to use them, but otherwise, I think I would just let them disappear.

I have to say, DVC is a blessing in that sense, because we aren't stuck to the stupid plan, that is getting less and less value for money each year anyway. Yes, we have ADRs for most nights, but because they are places we want to go as opposed to places we have to go 'to use up the credits'. We also won't eat anywhere near the DDP snacks and CS values.

Some people have also had luck in getting the TS credits knocked down to CS credits, which means you could do a breakfast at the resort. Otherwise, like someone else said, if you want to use them up try the resort restaurants, DTD and Boardwalk. It's the park restaurants that fill up first and fastest, as people don't want to leave to eat and then come back. I would imagine the MK resorts would be almost as busy as the parks too, because of their close proximity. Try somewhere like Boma, which is miles away from the parks, yes, but will also be quieter :D

We went twice to akershus last trip for breakfast and it is a must do this year. Food was very nice, think we had thirds of potato casserole!

That is one that I am sorry I never did when DD was young enough to really appreciate it. Fortunately with girls, they often slip back into a liking for the "cute" things so maybe if I just leave it a few more years .....

How about saving them for the 2 new restaurants in Epcot
