I think that DVC-Don was talking about the total weight of all the stuff you load into the MH
I agree about being careful of the weight. Most people are overloaded (especially newbies). It's best to weigh at a truck stop, an do side to side, front and back, so you know if you need to reload. It's amazing, just what wood board vs plastic to level on and tons of canned goods can weigh. To say nothing of that rock collection (remember I love Lucy?). Be sure to count the people in the MH..that weight adds up fast, too.
I've just never heard of anyone being cited at a truck weigh station for being overweight in a MH. He mentioned a state police stop, which in our area (I live near him) I assume is a truck weigh stop on the Northway. If not at a truck weigh in, I don't know how the police would know you are over weight.
