Wow! oh well, one step closer!!Probably about 6 weeks at best - we passed 3/23 and I will probably call next week, which is the earliest I could expect to get a membership number and book.
By the way, my broker said to expect to close by 5/8 when we passed ROFR, and we closed right after Easter and the deed was recorded last week. So - we have moved very quickly and it will still be 6 weeks.
oh my gosh, that was fast! Thanks for the congrats... so glad to be at least on this side of things finally! We passed ROFR 3/15 and had points loaded (and first 2 trips booked) 4/25.
Just wanted to say congrats as well!! It took you a little while but at least you're in the home stretch now.
Thanks so much!!I can't answer your question but just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!!! And welcome home!
Congrats on passing ROFR. You still have a few more hurdles to clear, and if your threads about your search for a contract are any indication, any one of these hurdles may very well drive you mad.I am so excited... but is it another 30 days for estoppel then another 30 days to get entered into system?? Thank you for the play by play!! I'd rather understand whats happening and be prepared.... so thanks a bunch! patience is not my virtue!!Congrats on passing ROFR. To lay it out for you in rough terms, you're going to have to wait a few weeks to get closing documents. You will probably turn yours around within the hour but you'll still have to wait for the seller to send in theirs, usually about a week. Then you'll have to wait for the deed to be recorded with Orange County, which only takes a few days. Then you'll have to wait for DVC to be notified, again another few days. From there it's about 10 days until your membership is created and another 1-3 days before points are loaded into the system. If this is your first contract you won't have online access, which means that you have to wait for the membership materials to be sent to you in the mail, about another 1-2 weeks. However, my guess is that you'll want to call MS to bypass that two week wait, and I don't blame you. There's nothing that they can do for you until they process your paperwork and create your account, and this is a process that is done strictly by the date that DVC is notified of the transfer. You're going to want to call every day, but trust me when I tell you, it's not going to get you anywhere. My best advice is to wait exactly 10 days from the day Disney has been notified of the transfer (your closing company will provide you with this date) and call then. That's where you're likely to get some real movement.
Sorry if this sounds like a bummer, but I'm just trying to lay the process out for you so that you don'tfrom stress over the next month or so.

Thanks! Here is our timeline, if it's any help to you.Note: we were previously DVC members, so we already had an account set up and didn't have to wait for that part.
Offer made/accepted: 2/22
Sent to ROFR: 2/24
Passed ROFR: 3/10
Closing Docs Received after Estoppel: 3/30
Closing Docs sent to Closing Company: 4/10
Recorded on OC Comptroller site: 4/19
The new member ID and points showed up in our DVC account 5/1/2017
So, less than 2 weeks from showing up on the OC Comptroller site to points being available on-line.
good question! I don't know but I am sure someone will help us!I'm in the same boat and interested to see what people have posted on this thread.
A question I have though is will they email me the closing docs or send them regular mail or courier?
My title company (Magic Vacation Title) gave me the option to receive the closing docs by regular mail or email, but Email was the default. I would have had to check a couple of boxes if I wanted them mailed. From what I've seen, typically the closing docs are emailed.I'm in the same boat and interested to see what people have posted on this thread.
