I miss the Magic so much already, so here's a little cruise recap! :p

:flower2:My party of 4 was all adults, split into two VGT rooms. We lucked out and got mid ship connecting rooms (6600 & 6602). Very close to the Aft elevators. We LOVED this location!!
We also were right on top of the Buena vista theater but never heard anything.
(Our mousekeeper Pa was so lovely. She was a real treat!)

:flower2:We requested our servers from our last Magic cruise in April and got one of them! (The other moved to the Fantasy)
Dinner was always a hoot :teeth:

As I've seen some other posters mention before, they really are pushing the end of the cruise comment cards now. Even in April they didn't mention it until the last night, but this time they REALLY wanted us to fill them out. We didn't mind though as we felt we had excellent service.

:flower2:Wasn't able to get a Palo brunch online (Silver), BUT was able to snag one when we got on board. We had never done it before and were very impressed. I guess we also lucked out there, our server told us the waiting list was 7 pages long since there was only one sea day :scared:

:flower2:I had never done a Merrytime cruise before and I really enjoyed it. Everything was decorated beautifully. It was just enough, but not too much. I'd totally do one again.

:flower2:CHARACTERS! I'm a big character person so of course I had to see everyone in all their different outfits :teeth: (and there were A LOT of outfits). I had such a great experience with them this trip, they all seemed extra attentive and fun this cruise.
I did notice though, that some of the attendants were very up close during the interaction. Like getting in the way of pictures close! I understand them needing to be close if the character needs help signing something or getting a message across, but some were way close when neither of those things were happening.
(I brought a big tsum tsum Dumbo to get signed by the characters, and I started being recognized as "that girl with the dumbo"
When I didn't have it with me people would ask me where Dumbo was  )

:flower2:Final Thoughts:flower2:
This was such an amazing cruise. You could tell that the boat was not at capacity, and I liked it being quieter. Character waits were good, food was good (as always), cast members were very fun, and Castaway Cay was beautiful! (It was windy so our stingray adventure was cancelled, but we made it work)

This itinerary had Castaway Cay as the first stop. I personally didn't like this, as Castaway has become my "I'm ready to go home goodbye" stop. We picked this cruise because the dates worked for us, but if I had the choice I would have picked where Castaway was last.

No idea when our next cruise is, but we have a placeholder so I'm hoping soon :teeth:

If anyone has questions I'll try my best to answer them!

Thanks for the review! Who were your requested servers and who has moved? (Out of curiosity - I loved mine on the Magic!)

We requested Daniel from Romania, and he moved to the Fantasy.
(I feel so bad for him, in April was his first cruise on the Magic fresh from the Fantasy, and then they sent him right back like two months later! :sad2:)

We requested and got Miguel from Portugal! (He told us his last cruise with DCL is in March )
If anyone has the chance to request him before he leaves, he is really a joy! He is so fun and there wasn't a boring moment at dinner EVER.
We all became fast friends, and I'm trying my best to see if I can hop on the Magic again before he leaves

The other server we got was Alexandru from Romania, and he happened to be friends with Daniel .
Our head server for the room was ALSO from Romania so we would all talk about Daniel and how we missed him LOL.

Cool. Yeah - they move people as they have need. And sometimes it is requested.

Thanks for the review, we will sail on the Magic (for the first time) in about a week so I’m glad to hear everything was great!

WHEW! I was hoping it wasn't Alex from England!! We had her last April on the Magic! We're requesting her for the next cruise as well. :)

We met Alex this cruise! She was so sweet! I hope you get her next cruise :flower1:

What a bummer. We met Miguel on the Wonder last summer and then saw him again this summer in Europe. He knew he'd be on the Magic in March but I didn't realize it would be his last cruise. I hope we get him.

Alex and Miguel are friends. They were always so much fun at lunch (they were.on the same rotation.)

Glad you enjoyed your cruise!

I remember the first time we did a Miami cruise and CC was the first stop, it was strange to us, but I was happy I didn;t have to go back to the boat and start packing! Thats always a bummer.
Our PC cruise this Feb. also has the first stop at CC.

Annoying update! :headache:

My whole family got sick after getting off the boat
A lot of people were coughing the last couple days of the cruise and we thought maybe it was just dry... But nope! Here we all are with coughing fits and fevers :sad2:

Does the Magic have a family area (sun deck with loungers) like the Dream? Away from the main pool deck? TY!

Deck 10 has loungers. They overlook the pool area, and you can watch funnel vision from there also.

We had Miguel 2 years ago on the Wonder in Alaska and LOVED him! I’m so sad he’s leaving DCL. We are sailing on the Magic this summer in the Med and I was going to request him.
