Just need to vent about wedding planning

We had a very budget wedding, and it was tons of fun. I think a picnic is a fabulous idea. My cousin had a backyard wedding and had lobster, steamers, and chicken. (That entire side of the family are lobstermen/clammers, so lobster was actually budget!)

Maybe you could do a potluck wedding. Ask your friends and family to bring a dish to share for the reception. In our family, and among our circle of friends, it's perfectly normal to do potluck parties, including weddings.
