Due to work events, we just moved our May 2017 trip to February 5 to 11 2017.

I've only ever been to WDW during the fall and spring so I'm at a loss for what to expect overall, and the last post on here about Feb. in the parks was in 2014

So anyone got tips or advice for a winter trip?

It can make a major difference if you are going BEFORE or AFTER Feb. 15th, or so.

Expect larger crowds in the second half of the month, especially over President's Day weekend.

Crowdwise I think you should be good. Packing is harder. Make sure you have clothes that are easily layered. Gloves and a hat for after dark too just in case.

We love going in Feb! Crowds are lighter and the weather is better than it is at home!! :) As other posters have said, be sure to pack a few items that can be layered. It's usually cool in the mornings and evenings, but the afternoons are usually quite nice.

As I stated, we are there before the 15th, so I'm not worried. Thanks.

Of course there's the difference of the weather. You might hit 85 one day and you might get 35 one night. Most likely you'll need light jacket in morning and could go shorts and tee shirt in afternoon. Lower temps also mean less fatigue/less need for afternoon break, if you are accustomed to that.

Crowds should be pretty light. Lines shorter. More refurbs.

Two things I like to point out: It's still winter.
1. Trees will be barren. Grass will be brown.
2. Days are shorter (sunrise and sunset, not like summer).

There will be tour groups from Brazil there and that is something that I have never really experienced.

I really love the winter and cold weather, so I'm actually super excited to wear jeans and a hoodie at the parks! Since I was a kid, I always went when temps were above 80.
