It's starting to feel real now-only 46 days to go! We went on our first trip as a family (H and I had been to Disney as kids) last year and stayed off property. We visited Boardwalk one day and fell in love with it. We were supposed to be staying off property again and at the last minute DH changed plans and booked Boardwalk. CAN'T WAIT!

We are going in December! I have been consumed by planning for the past two weeks, and enjoying every minute of it!

Will you share a bit about your trip? Dining plan? ADRs?

Have a wonderful time!! I think staying at the Boardwalk was one of my favourite trips ever. You can't beat the location and the whole area is just lovely.

I'd be happy to share some of our plans My DD age 5 is currently terrified of masked characters so we are not doing any character dining this trip but we did Chef Mickey's and Akershus in April of 2012 so we have had the character experience in the past. We are staying in a 1 BR Villa at BW and will be eating breakfast in the room most days unless we venture down to the new bakery I do have one breakfast ADR at Kona-can you say Tonga Toast!? We also have lunch ADRs at Sci-Fi Dine in Theater and 50's Prime Time Cafe. As far as dinner-we have Coral Reef which will be DS birthday dinner (he's turning 8 on our trip!) 'Ohana-can't WAIT for this one, Olivia's at OKW resort, Cape May Cafe, Paradiso 37 in DTD, Rose and Crown Pub in Epcot and San Angel Inn. A lot of ADRs-mostly for dinner-we didn't opt for the Dining Plan as we are not big snackers or dessert people and felt like we wouldn't have eaten enough to make it worth it. We also have a surprise Bibbity Bobbity Boutique appointment for our daughter-I can't wait to see the look on her face! I've been watching Disney videos on youtube all night lol...I'm already feeling the magic!

Congrats OP...love the Boardwalk area! I too would love to pay my trip off if I could only make up my mind on a resort and stick with it .

Hahaha! I understand trust me! We were torn between staying at Bonnet Creek (off site) or on property. Once we made the decision to stay on Property it quickly became a debate of where to stay...I really loved OKW and the size of the rooms but DH wanted to be more in the middle of the action. We considered POFQ as well but DH was pretty insistent that he wanted a Villa with all of the amenities we had when we stayed off site. It took us a few weeks to decide and then when I thought we had agreed on OKW he changed it to Boardwalk at the last minute. I am more than ok with BWV-I just didn't ever expect that DH would go for the cost of it-he is more excited about this trip than any of us lol!
