Ok I'm back! I want to get this TR done by the end of the month so I can start a PTR for our June trip...let's see if I can do it, please leave lots of comments, your fun messages motivate me
Let's see...we left off revisiting GMR. Well, our mission was not accomplished. This tour guide was worse than the last. And the "cowgirl" who "took over" our ride car was even worse. The sweaty looking animatronic Sigourney Weaver could have done better! I feel like writing a letter, they need a new audition process or something.
After our mediocre visit to the movies, we rode Star Tours. Gotta love the preshow lady's hair. Always good for a laugh. They also had some great tshirts in the gift shop. A storm trooper eating a mickey ice cream bar? Priceless. Too bad I'm not a Star Wars fan...which should make our next trip interesting since we'll be there during Star Wars weekends yippee
I believe after our voyage to the moon of Endor or whatever its called we decided to visit Walt at One Man's Dream. Last year DBro and his gf, who was also with us, decided they didn't want to do this,

but waited to tell us that until we were already inside and a very interested DF was bummed he only got to see half before we left. So this year I promised we'd be back, and I'm glad because I think it's really cool. We even stayed for the movie. We were very into the videos this vacation!
Next, it was off to the animation studio. The poor animator, the one who draws Mushu in the beginning, had some sort of disability and could not talk normally. I felt bad for her but no one could understand a word she'd said and the crowd got very restless. Still glad we stopped here though because we got some great shots with my favorite mouse in his best outfit (IMO):
Even mice can appreciate the bling:
I wanted to do the drawing lesson, but that's on the list for June because the guys wanted to see Lights, Motors, Action and I obliged. Last time was DF's first time seeing it and some of the big stunts didn't work that day for some reason so the show turned out to be less than thrilling, he needed a redo. On the way I stopped for a raspberry lemonade icy thing at the snack cart outside of TSM. I love these, but it wasn't good as the ones at MK.
The guys loved the show. I didn't love the burnt rubber smell so I busted out the advil

At this point our TSM FPs were ready though so I was excited.
I must rant here for a minute first, though! Has anyone else noticed a lot of pushing and shoving in the FP lines? It's like the time on the clock changes and people make a mad rush for the line the minute their fast pass time is up. Maybe it's just my bad luck, but this trip I got crushed by the masses trying to get in the FP lines multiple times. And by the end of the trip I'd had it. We were handing our passes to the TSM CM, when this group of 6 adults tries to literally ram their way through past group. Their "ringleader" who started the shoving stomped right on my foot, and very hard, like super painful! Two of the women got through, but the other woman and three men were still behind us when we finally made our way through. The ringleader has the nerve to turn to me and say "hey, please let my husband and the rest of the group through." I have no problems being honest, so I said "If you hadn't mowed us over, you'd still be standing with them". She just stood there with her mouth gaping. We let them go, I was ready to go off even more on her by my wise family stopped me, but not after a stare down. I called her a very un-Disney like, un-lady like word loud enough for her to hear, and she was not happy. Not my proudest moment by far and I still feel bad for being so ugly, especially on vacation, but I had looked down to see the entire top of my foot was black and blue from her running me over. Grrrrr I hate rude people!
Ok, sorry that was way too long but I had to vent to my Disfriends who are such good listeners. Thanks guys, I feel so much better

TSM was great, I still loved it and we laughed about the mean pushy lady afterwards.
Our line bad luck ended there, though. We walked over to ToT and found a 10 min wait! We love it so much we rode three times in a row. We were going to try RnRC but decided against it for another trip on ToT

lmao: looking back we were kinda obsessed with it this trip). It was dropping us like 10 times each ride, so we couldn't resist!
I forgot to mention that we had a Cape May ADR for this night, but canceled it for more park time since DHS had pretty short hours that week. I love Cape May and was sad to drop it, but it was worth the extra ride time in the end. However, this left us with the dilemma of what to eat. DBro again decides he's had enough park food

So we go back to the car and drive around the main drag by our resort. After much haggling, the group decides on...Wendy's. Ugh, worse than Quiznos! What is the deal?! I love a chicken nugget as much as the next girl but I was not pleased and quietly vowed to DF that I'd never be eating like this on a Disney vacation again.
Either way, it was still a great day at DHS. I realized that this update has very little pictures. I think I wanted to soak everything up the last few days instead of spending lots of time taking pics. But to treat my wonderful readers to a visual, I'm throwing in some old pictures from last year's trip (some that never made it into my old TR). In keeping with the theme, they're all from MGM (because it was literally the last week it was called MGM!!):
RnRC, the one warm day of our 2008 trip:
The boat from Boardwalk to DHS. Look I had so much hair last year!
Oh and, 3D glasses

...I never take pictures of those!
It was January, but still decked out for Christmas!
January 2, soooo crowded!
And we did make it to Cape May last year! This is how you cram a 6'4 man into a high chair, thanks Goofy!
Hope you enjoyed that little jaunt down memory lane. That's all for now, but I'll back with more soon. Up next: Our last full day

But one of my favorites! We spent it at MK of course...lots of rides, resort hopping, and dinner at Whispering Canyon!!
