For me, important, but I fidget with my hair all the time. It is long and pin-straight, so being too soft to the point of unstyleable is a bigger problem for me than it not being soft enough, though. I'm also really fussy about scents - I use a line of tea tree oil hair products because it doesn't smell like potpourri, doesn't attract insects when I'm outside (I used to love my strawberry shampoo but so did the bees!), and doesn't linger around forever to clash with my perfume.

Neither my wife or I use any "product" in our hair other than plain old shampoo to wash it. In my case, as a kid of the 1960's when Brill Creme was big for guys, product leaves stuff on my hair that makes it feel dirty.

You both were born lucky, there are quite a few hair-types, mine included, that require a certain degree of self control to tolerate as natural.

My hair gets fly away hairs and curls that will occasionally spring to life and spontaneously land on my face or shoulder or just pop into my periphery to the point that I startle and think it's a bug or I walked into a spiderweb, so like this:

Hence, I drive with my hair in a ponytail because I do not want to end up in the news

To answer your question…..it’s somewhat important to me for my hair to feel soft. I use Redken products on my hair and sometimes the It’s A 10 or Paul Mitchell items. I also use Aveda products for humidity.

My hair product regimen….
Redken Shampoo & Redken Conditioner in shower
Redken One United Treatment Spray & Redken Ultra Soft leave in conditioner or Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum before I use hairdryer
Aveda cream for humidity after I use hairdryer
Hairspray when done styling

Wow….that’s a lot of stuff - I never really realized it until I just wrote it - LOL!!
