Just how bad is RnRC??

IMO...If you can do the Mummy and Space Mountain, you can do RnRC. I think the biggest thrill of the ride is the initial take off.

You need to realize that most of the screaming you hear is not really people screaming out of fear, but out of excitement.
I challenge riders to try and endure the launch without at least yellling (screaming like a little girl is ok, too)

A roller coaster is one of the few places where it is socially acceptable to scream at the top of your lungs - it just makes the ride more fun for some people.

And, I'm pretty sure that more people get struck by lightning than actually ever get hurt (let alone die) on a Disney ride.
Now, THAT's a fun statistic. WDW isn't far from Tampa, the "Lightning Capital of the World."

Does anyone have motion sickness and is not affected by the inversions on RNrc?

I have terrible motion sickness...I can't even turn around or look down when I'm in the passenger seat of our truck:crazy2: but I did not get motion sickness on this ride no did I at the California Screamin (I think thats what it's called) at DCA.... but the neon lighting is what gave me a headache, but no motion sickness... now primeval whirl on the other hand :tilt::sick:

Prepare for takeoff!! After that, head back, eyes closed, and hold on tight!!! I'm always scared, but I keep going back on! Now if I can just get the courage to ride Everest :crazy2:

If you can handle RnR, then EE is gonna be fun. Yes, you do see how high up you go on the climb, but that's practically the only time you see the height. (just keep looking straight ahead if that bothers you :)) The remainder of the time you're inside the mountain or speeding down the coaster track outside, where you don't look at the scenery but scream instead. :lmao:

It's really a lot of fun. It's on the same level of intensity as RnR, just delivered differently. Instead of a 0-60 take off and inversions, you spiral backwards in complete darkness and the drop sends you out into the open air suddenly, among other things (strobe-light Yeti time! :cool1:). A lot of people (my niece especially) thought the backwards spiral part in the dark was us going upside down, and she kept asking us if we did. You don't, you just go in a big spiral down for a moment, and it's similar to the force you feel when you go in a loop.

Okay, I'm blabbering. I gotta stop myself now. :duck:

I can get motion sickness pretty badly when I'm in the car. It's never bothered me on this ride. I do agree with PP about Primeval Whirl, though. Last time I was ready to get off about halfway through. Felt sooo sick. I feel a little queasy just thinking about it, actually.

I think RnR is better because there isn't much going on off to the side. I swear I think my peripheral vision is what gives me motion sickness in the car, but everything is in front of you on RnR.

The only time, repeat ONLY TIME, I ever got motion sickness on a ride was during one of my visits to Knoebels in PA a couple years ago. It was this ride (edit: It's called Wipeout lol) that spun in circles, and then tilted and twirled like a spinning top. I didn't eat right beforehand, I looked straight ahead, and other rides where you spin are completely fine for me. This one though, not so much. I was fine about 20 mins afterwards, but yeesh, that's rare for me.

How BAD is RnRC?!?!
It's absolutely amazing :B
It's very smooth with inversions and the start does pin you to your seat a little bit but do it! You'll love it!

Last time I rode Space Mtn I felt slightly ill from the jerkiness. RnR Coaster was so smooth I had no problem. My favorite coaster at WDW.

I love Space Mountain and The Mummy at Universal - so I thought I'd probably enjoy RNRC BUT a friend of mine (who also loves Space) said she hated RnRC and was very nearly sick after it :confused3

Like you, I don't like attractions where I can see how high up I am, so outdoor coasters are now off the list for me. (I didn't used to be like this when I was younger and now I do miss it!).

I'm not a fan of Space Mountain because it is too jerky, but I really like the Mummy and I LOVE LOVE LOVE RnRC!!! I can ride it 20 times in a row.

I especially love the launch at the start - if you like speed this is the ride for you. It is very smmoth, too, which is nice. If you are concerned about going upside down, don't be. You don't realize it happened until you are right side up again!

Do it! If you like the Mummy and Space Mountain, this is the ride for you!

Remember to breathe! Last thing you need is a massive headache because you held your breathe during the entire ride!

I can't do the Star Wars ride or Body Wars or things like that :headache:  The intensity of RnRR is what people love (or not :p ). Once you survive the take off' the rest really is a piece of cake. I wish I would have kept my eyes open! My family couldn't stop talking about how cool it was and there I was saying... Nope, missed that... Nope, didn't see that either and then the ?? came... You didn't keep your eyes closed, did you?? My YEP was returned by a chant of Whyyyyyy?!?!! You missed the whole ride! :guilty:

So, again, ENJOY at least once:cheer2:

I find riding the front row helps. You can see everything that is coming up. Just ask and they will put you in queue for the front row.

I'm short 5ft, and i feel my head rattles about a bit and i bang my ears off the side restraints. End up with a headache all day x

You mean primeval-HURL?

Everest goes backward and even though RnRC goes upside down, there's something about backward that just makes me ill :crazy2:

My DH used to be terrified of this ride. He grew up never going on coasters or any type of thrill ride. After he was able to ride with the lights on it though he loves it! It is his absolute favorite ride at WDW now. It does shoot you out really fast but just keep your head back and you'll be fine.

Is there a chicken exit? I can see my daughter wanting to ride it, and then changing her mind when she realized how dark it is.
