Nope - that's how beat up I felt after leaving work some days but I appreciate the humor. Not a Big 10 school - SEC.
Shoot...I was guessing Illinois...

I could get totally lambasted for saying this but... it is in any way possible that Guardians of the Galaxy could be a cool ride AND have a science/technology/future educational element, i.e. Mission Space?
It's all about money when it comes down construction pace and schedule.I'm just going to say this - I work at a very LARGE University and used to work in Procurement. If Whiting Turner is doing this, I have no doubt it will be delayed. They constantly got projects on campus, but I always felt like they took forever. But that's govt contracting vs private contracting. So take it with a grain of salt.

Is that not money? or are bonuses and damages paid in dole whips? It's actually about bonuses and damages...
You get done early...we pay you $____
You get done late...we deduct $____
That's how things got done in the 20th century and now companies are averse to them.

Why in the world do they think THIS ride of all rides needs a re-vamp? It's got a great story and is still popular. I just don't get it. This is how they start ruining things. As long as ToT is still there in June 2017...if it truly is on the table for a re-do, I want to experience it as much as possible.
Hopefully the Florida one stays. Again, let's write ACTUAL letters, not stupid social media comments. This is your best hope to get through to The Bobs.
Hear hear! Ever since Harry Potter went to Universal it's like the Disney powers started running around to Benny Hill music trying to compete, and they keep missing the mark. I wish they would do DISNEY and not everything else. I totally don't get the GoG thing. Did anyone go see that? It's kind of like hanging all of your hopes on Hunchback. ***? (which I would be more interested in mind you. :/ )...and...(this is my queue)...
That Iger let all of WDW basically stagnate for 10 years while they increased prices and cut perks/services and now they have big boy competiton up the street?
So they have little choice but to rip the place apart?
Lol...those that have been around here awhile know I have beaten that bongo for years until i have put my fist through it...and i truly wish I was completely wrong/paranoid about it years ago...
...but...it's a curse.![]()
No....they'll do another simulator ride like they always do and then wonder why Universal is still doing so well. IMO Universal is continually advancing in the ride department. Personally I am thrilled that Universal got Harry Potter. Disney wouldn't have done it justice. It's like they just quit trying. Please God let Avatar land be something spectacular. Even if it's a complete joke of a shot at competition for HP.It's possible for GoG to tell a story and educate people ... but it's difficult if they build a straightforward coaster in the style of Hulk, Rock'n'Roller, Rip Ride Rockit, etc. The storytelling has to be front-end loaded in the preshow and then it's basically wiped out by a mindless scream-inducing thrill.
A coaster that stops and starts with slow and fast sections like Revenge of the Mummy and Expedition Everest is better for telling a story.
They SHOULD do it that way ... but will they?
GoG wreaks of desperation. My God, they've got a gold mine of Disney that they just refuse to use. Why on earth is there no Tangled presence? Mulan for crying out loud. The reason the movies seem to just die and go away is because they won't shove them down our throats with rides and whatnot. Just about everything could be a Frozen if they would just market them. I mean I get that some things have no hope because they are just weak movies ie; Atlantis....but Princess and the Frog etc....I could go on and on. Some of those movies were really good. When I die and get to heaven it will be a Disney full of actual Disney ****e. lolI don't mind the Inside Out rumor to Imagination, although I think Figment is still a character they need to leverage more strongly for Epcot.
I was rather, "meh" about Inside Out the movie.
The GoG rumors boggle my mind. I just don't see how they fit in at FW, and certainly not at ToT at DL. Total head scratcher to me.

My wife, who is not a huge Disney fan, but has learned to appreciate it, heard the rumor, and even she said, "WTH?" She watches the Marvel movies with me as they come out on BluRay, but GoG is the first one she got up and left after 25 minutes. Said it was too weird for her. I agree, they're trying to work a property too hard into the parks.
I'd love to see a Mulan ride in the China pavillion, a Ratatouille in France, or a Brother Bear ride in Canada, etc.
Hmmm... Did anyone go see the movie that grossed $775M?Hear hear!
