Thanks to everyone for all the advice and tips. It is hard to believe our long awaited trip has come and gone. Overall, we had a good time. I was just wondering if anyone was at MK on Tuesday May 4th. The park was extremely crowded and I was not expecting this. If it wasn't for fastpass, we would not have been able to do anything. The waits were at least 60 minutes for everything. Does anyone know why?

Was it the only showing of Spectromagic that week? That may have driven up attendance.

We were there last week too but avoided MK that day because of Spectromagic. We spent the day at Epcot and then took the boat to MGM for Fantasmic.

We went to the MK on Wed. and it was great. Lines weren't bad at all. We did Fantasyland first without needing Fastpasses and didn't even need Fastpass for Buzz or Space Mountain in the afternoon. Only needed fastpasses for Splash and Big Thunder.

Correct! Spectro that night. We were there on Monday, May 3 and it was empty. We walked right on to everything we wanted. No wait for buzz. I was very surprised. I'm sure it was because of Spectro the next night. We go home last night and the parks were getting extremely busy when we left.

We just returned as well and we went to MK on May 4th. It got crowed by afternoon, but if you played it right, it was easy to do quite a bit. We did Dumbo, tea cups, pooh, and peter first (all before 9:35 AM). Then we did Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain (no waits). Grabbed a fast pass for Splash before heading for our 10:30 CP ps. As soon as we were finished with breakfast we hopped back to Splash (one of my 4 yo niece's favs) then did pirates and Aladin's carpets before hopping the train to toon town. In toon town we just did character meets and then hopped the train back to the front of the park. It was getting crowded by then so we headed back to the hotel (AKL) and arrived about 2:30PM for our afternoon nap. We used the tour early and nap plan all last week and never waited more then 15 mins for anything (except characters - some of those took a little longer)

We were there 5/3 and 5/4 in the evening and the 4th was much more busy. I'm sure it was probably because of Spectro, also the weather may have made a difference. Tues was a beautiful day after a few days of thunderstorms. We went to ride the Buzz ride a few times (my DS4's favorite) We ended up not getting out before Wishes because my DS4 decided he HAD to ride Dumbo a couple of times too (took us almost 1 1/2 hr. to get out of the park) However, on our last ride on Dumbo the fireworks started and my DS was thrilled. It was a great end to our week in WDW.

May 4th was a non-park day for us but we were on the monorail at closing and the lines to leave MK were wild. Next day we talked to several people who said that crowds were huge( and unexpected) that day. The whole week was awesome for us. We were giddy at the 10-15 wait times during midday... except Test Track which was always broken down. we did ride our last night during Illuminations with no wait, 'Mission Space too!!! (May 5th)

We were there the evening of May 4th, and it was horrible there. Our plan is usually we go to a park right when it opens, that day May 4th, the kids wanted to go to Epcot. We did Epcot for 5 hrs, and no lines for anything. We went back to the condo for a swim. My daughter(Who is 4)wanted to head back to the Magic Kingdom, she loved "Carosal of progress"(go figure with all the rides, she loved that), my husband and son headed to othere end. Me and daughter headed to Tunetoon for pictures with characters, but then my husband and son were done. We were "Trying" to leave the park then, it was close to 8:30, and it was completely mobbed.. We hardly ever stay for parades at the evening, as I Hate the crowds. I love Disney, but could do with out the parade crowds. The Disney people let the crowd of people not staying for the parade, a back route out, BUT, it got congested right in front of that first restaurant on Mainstreet(Dont know the name of it). I was a little pissed as were the rest of the crowd trying to get out, but it seems people decided to stop and watch the parade... All we wanted to do was get out of there and avoid crowd people... It didnt work..
I dont know if the parade was the reason it was so crowded, but I wont make that mistake again, we will leave before parade starts.
We still had a Magical week at Diseny, despite that one flaw.
