Just spent 8 wonderful days in the Orlando area. Spent 3 days at Disney, one day at downtown disney, and 2 days at Universal. If you have any questions just ask. I'm already ready to start planning the next trip!

Did you go to Harry Poter? If so, what were the lines like??

Please can you confirm that you had an absolutely wonderful time! :goodvibes

Had a great time. Only rained on Thursday afternoon. Yes we did go to Harry Potter. We went to IOA on Thursday. We did all the other rides in the morning. The waits were all 20 min or less. We went to Harry Potter in the afternoon around 4pm. No wait to get into the land. The line in the morning was at Dudley do right's ripsaw falls. The wait time posted for Forbidden Journey was 60 min but it only took about 45 min. We did standby line. The single riders line was a lot shorter though. Unfortunatley a thunderstorm came up after we got off the ride and dragon challenge and hippogriff were not running. So we went to Three broomsticks and ate. Also got a butterbeer which I did not care for. It was too sweet for me but my husband enjoyed it. The only shop we were able to get into was Honeydukes. Didn't buy anything though. It wouldn't have been so bad but everyone was ducking inside for cover from the rain and there was no room to move. So after that we left for the day.

Sounds like you had a great time. How were the lines and heat at WDW? Did you like your resort? Did you have any ADRs you particularly enjoyed?:goodvibes

We stayed off property but liked were we stayed. We were less than 10 minutes from WDW. The lines were really not bad. The longest wait we had was at splash mountain. The wait was about 50 min. We used fastpasses for most of the popular rides. We had ADR at Crystal Palace for 0815 on Tuesday. It was the best character interaction and food we had all week. Tigger was my fav! We also did rainforest cafe at Animal Kingdom, Planet Hollywood and Wolfgang Puck at Downtown Disney. I must say though I was a little disappointed in Wolfgang puck. I got the steak. It was ok but I've had better at Ruth's Chris for the same amount of money. It was hot. Tuesday was the worst day of the week. Thursday and Friday were better. It rained Thursday afternoon and cooled things off and it was overcast all day Friday which kept temps down. Best advice I can give anyone getting ready to go to WDW is go to Walmart and invest in a spray fan bottle. It was a lifesaver! Also we used a backpack cooler we got from Target called a Maxcold bag. We took bottled water in everyday and it saved us so much money. The bag was heavy at the beginning of the morning but it didn't stay that way long. We drank so much water. The bag was empty by the end of every day and we would use it to place soveiners in. The bag uses a ice pack so it dosen't have as much water in it.
