I got back this morning too Julie. Wasn't it just great weather? We had 2 weeks without a drop of rain - although it's fair to say they are talking drought and water restrictions in some parts of Florida and there already fires breaking out in certain areas (north of Orlando near Daytona and DeLand I think) and we did smell the smoke and see the haze on a couple of occasions.
I've specialised in visiting during hurricanes and tropical storms in recent years, so this holiday was a real winner - eighties and low nineties all the time
Sounds like you had a great hol Juliebro. DH has been keen to stay at a Universal hotel and take advantage of the express pass. Then transfer to an onsite Disney Hotel. We then wouldn't need to bother getting a car.
We're thinking of a 9 day trip next Feb half term, flying out Thurs 7th.
We got home on Saturday morning too!
But all ive managed to do since getting back is drift in and out of sleep
husband has been busy bless him
As you can see by the time of this posting im finding it really hard to get back into UK time, which is not so much of a problem this week as I am working US hours until Friday!!
Excellent weather, was hotter than we had imagined!
Lots of wonderful times, absolutley skint due to excellent exchange rate, on checking credit card most transactions went through at 1.96,
already planning next trip
Whats Christmas like anyone? thinking of 2008?
Crystal Palace
We have just booked for Christmas 2008
Virgin Holidays had some really great prices and couldn't resist.
( It's a lot cheaper flying On Christmas Day than Christmas Eve)
Glad you Had a great time Look forward to hearing all about it

I checked mine this morning online (Nationwide of course, are you reading this Paul?) and quite a few went through at more than $2.00 to the pound and most just a whisker under

We also used our Nationwide card and got over $2 to the pound.
Among the bargains I got were DKNY jeans for only £15, Clinique facial soaps for £4.75 each and Calvin Klein boxers for DS for £7.50 a pair.
Arranged a fabulous slap-up meal for DH's birthday at the Old Hickory Steakhouse in Gaylord Palms and it only cost £65 for the two of us.
Weather was great - but as crystalprincess says, it sure was hot. I don't think I could cope with the heat in July or August.
Staying at the Portofino Bay was wonderful, as ever, but I'm not convinced that it was necessarily worth doing it this time. We paid a lot of money to stay for just one night to get the front of line access, but the parks weren't too busy anyway and they were selling the Express Plus passes for only $15 each. We probably won't bother again, unless we go at peak times.
