from a wonderful 8 days at WDW. Very sad to leave, but glad to be home. We drove from PA and stayed at the All Star Music Resort. Attended the MNSSHP on Sunday, the 26th. Ate at Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier and Crystal Palace.

Crowds weren't really that bad and weather was wonderful with just a bit of rain on Tuesday afternoon and evening. DD and I surprised DH with the Richard Petty Driving Experience and he had the time of his life.

I will be glad to answer any questions, if you got any!!!!

Was COP open? How was your meal at LeCellier?Did you do Mission Space and how was it?How were the new fireworks at MK?Thanks:wave2:

I was there during the same time as Piglet. I can answer some of your questions. COP was open and we did it on the halloween party night.

I also did Mission Space at Epcot. I liked it a lot and thought it was pretty cool. I wasn't sure how I would do because I hate Body Wars and Star Tours (makes me sick) but I did fine with this ride.

Wishes at MK is awesome. The best fireworks show I've ever soon. You'll love it!

Did you see the new fireworks show at the MK? We are going the week before Thanksgiving and want to plan out "where to stand." I want my parents to see Spectromagic -- they have yet to see it -- and then I want to see Wishes. Any tips?

We just got back too! Our stay was wonderful!! I agree about Wishes. It was THE most spectacular fireworks I have ever seen. We too ate at le Cellier...it was the best meal we ate all week. Service was wonderful too. They knew we were honeymooning and brought out a delicious piece of chocolate cake with "Congratulations" written on the plate.

The weather was fabulous. We did MNSSHP on 10-26 and 10-31. Whoa, were the crowds bad on 10-31! It was wonderful though. We really did not want to leave. I will post a more detailed report after I get some sleep!

Where did you all watch Wishes? I'd like to hear everyone's recommendations on the best places to view it. Thanks!

For the answers to my questions you guys are great for sharing.::yes:: :wave2:

Hi Piglet - where in PA and did you drive straight through? We are driving too in a few weeks. Figuring about 16 to 17 hours from the Harrisburg area. Glad you all had a great trip.

Where did you watch Wishes and did you like the view? How long before Wishes did you get your viewing spot? Thanks.

I saw Wishes three times this past week. Twice from the middle of Main Street and once from the lower level of the Plaza Pavillion.

It's an incredible show. And the place to be is Main Street. When I was at the Plaza Pavillion the fireworks appeared to be to the right of the castle. Still wonderful fireworks, but it really is meant to be seen as over/around the castle, not to the side.

We watched Wishes from in front of the Castle on Main Street. There were lots of spots to sit or stand...we didn't get there until a few minutes before it started. Do not miss it!

We too just got back this afternoon. We were on AO during Wishes. It was WONDERFUL!!

Halloween Party on 31, was way too CROWDED. I really didn't like the party at all. BUT LTT was great!! This was our first time going and all of the great reviews were acurate. It was hard getting there at 6:10 though. We were stopped 6 times!

It was also our first time at CP (finally open). I thought I, I mean, my kids, were going to fall asleep. I'm really suprised that is still there. Seats were old and broken, outdated, very undisney like. jmho.

How was your drive from PA? I did this 2 years ago....I made it home in 16 1/2 hours....but it took me longer to get there! Its a long drive isn't it!!! Glad you made it back safely.
:)

Sorry about not answering questions - my DD's 7th birthday and party was today and it has been hectic getting things put away and stuff ready for the party.

The Drive - we are about 1 1/2 hours west of Harrisburg and actually the drive to WDW is not that bad. We stopped overnight in Savannah, Georgia and stayed at the County Inns and Suites (very nice) I think it was $64/ night. The drive home seemed much longer (of course) we stayed somewhere around Dunn, North Carolina Comfort Inn ($58 / night) not as nice - front desk called us at 1:30AM and said they had complaints from below about some loud banging. It wasn't us we were sound asleep!!!!!

We missed Spectro - it was raining the night we were planning on seeing it and we left early, but they did have it - just delayed a bit.

Fireworks - we watched from middle of Main Street - they were wonderful.

We really didn't care for Le Cellier very much - our favorite this trip was Crystal Palace - very good!!!!

Gotta go clean up - I will try and answer the rest tomorrow AM.

I was kind of wondering about the weather you encountered while you were there. You noted that you had a few bouts of rain. My wife and I are leaving Tuesday for our week-long stay, and I'm getting concerned over the reports of "scattered t'storms" I'm seeing from Tuesday to Thursday.

Any major problems with the rain?

Just returned from Oct. 24-Nov. 1 the best view for Wishes is on the Tomorrowland Bridge as the fireworks are off to the right of the castle (if you are facing the castle).

Be there at least 45 min. prior to the show. A definate must see!

Another great view is from the California Grill Restaurant in the Contempory Resort. An awsome panoramic view of MK park and the fireworks. We also caught the sunset and was just beautiful.
Try the pork tenderloin or the Filet Mignon. This was our best meal.

Le Cellier was our second best meal during our stay.

Any questions feel free to reply.

I was there from October 24-30. It only rained once the entire time I was there and all the other days the weather was wonderful.

We were there October 26 - November 2 and had scattered t-storms forecast for most of the time we were there, according to whatever weather channel we were watching. Tuesday was the only day with any wetness, and it wasn't the entire day. Don't fret about forecasts - they change so quickly and fronts move so erratically that you can't really predict anything, even if you're standing underneath a big grey cloud.

As for Wishes, we caught it twice. While I'm sure the view is terrific from the train station platform overlooking Main Street, we were on ground level and my view was blocked by Goliath-like parents with kids on their shoulders. We could see the fireworks, but I felt like I missed out on something standing in front of the flagpole and being so far away from my beloved Castle. The second time we saw them, we stood up near the hub in front of the Castle. We only waited for 15 minutes or so in that spot and had a great view, perfect to experience the fireworks all around us as well as to see the Castle doing its "thing".
