Just got back from OKW!

We just got back today from 18 mights at OKW. We had an awesome trip and once again OKW did not disappoint! We've been staying there for 11 years now and I honestly can't think of one thing that I've been disappointed with.

A few of the highs:
The Wild Africa Trek, we had a great time and would definitely do it again, but we did have perfect weather, not so sure how it would be if it had been raining!

Discovery Cove, we've been talking about doing this for a long time and finally got around to doing it this time! We all loved it and would definitely do it again

The weather, this is the first time that we've been in Nov and we had near perfect weather. We had a couple of showers which lasted for around 5-10 mins and it pored down yesterday when we were leaving for the airport, but apart from that we have lovely sunny days.

Teppan Edo and Tusker House, we hadn't eaten at either of these restaurants before and decided to give them a go. All 4 of us loved them and they are now on our to do again list

The new Star Tours, we spent a lot of time on this ride and were very impressed!

We finally went to WWoHP and loved everything about it. Thought the theming was brilliant and we all the Forbidden Journey!

What we could see of the new Fantasy Land expansion, this looks like it's going to be awesome.

The lows:
Not too many lows thankfully! However we did come across some rude pushy people! There seemed to be more than on our previous visits. In fact one guy told my 17 year old DD to F**k Off!!!! I was gob smacked!

I had the pork chop at Kona and once again (had a steak last time and it was burnt) it hadn't been cooked properly! It was almost raw around the bone. We've decided that we won't be going there again!

This morning our flight arrived at Man early but we ended up having to sit and wait while the Paramedics came on board as we were a contagious plane!! the crew had to take all the passengers details because a family brought their child on the flight with chicken pox!!! I feel sorry for the pregnant women who were on the flight not to mention the poorly child!!

Anyway I'm now looking forward to planning our next trip

i was there in november 3 years ago and loved it....perfect weather for visiting the parks..

i really want to do the wild africa trek, but we just couldn't fit it in this year...it sounds like so much fun!! maybe next time!

We flew with Virgin. They didn't know that the child had Chicken Pox until we were in the air and the parents asked one of the cabin crew if they'd any Calpol. The lady then enquired if the child was not feeling well and was told that he had Chicken Pox!!! So they announced what was going on and then the cabin crew came round and took info for each passenger: seat no. name, address, contact tel no. and then once we had landed we had to wait to be cleared so that we could all get off the plane!!

Glad you had a good time, more highs than lows. I can't wait now, we're off to OKW in Feb for our very first trip to disney world.

Bit worried about what the weather will be like, but apart from snowstorms I think we'll be just fine.

welcome home.We got back today.Tyring to stay awake but very hard now Cant believe it is over but had a great trip. Like you encountered some very rude people thinking the world revolves around them.
Sorry for not completing my live TR but I left my iphone charger at OKW before the cruise so had minimal charge.
Will continue when I come back down to earth.

We were on the same return flight and could not believe the idiocy and selfishness of the family who thought it was ok to bring their chicken pox infected child onto a crowded flight

Hubby is recovering from a serious bout of pneumonia, and has been told to try to avoid infections, which this family made impossible!!! I couldn't sleep the whole flight for worrying about him, just waiting for him to inevitibly come down with shingles now

I think the stupid family should have been made to stand at the plane door and apologise personally to each and every person on the flight!! I just hope and pray that any pregnant ladies or medically fragile people on the flight are ok and don't suffer any serious consequences from the family's selfishness.

Sorry about the rant I'm just so worried about Hubby I can't help it

Happy to hear that you had a great trip! I kept a look out for you while we were at OKW, but unfortunately I never saw you!
