Hey everyone. We just got back from staying 10 nights in a studio at Kidani Village. We had a great stay. We were on the 5th floor, room 7550. Our only real complaint was the paper plates and bowls. Since we were there 10 nights, we had to wash these in order to reuse them - felt kind of weird. We ordered groceries from GardenGrocer.com and had them delivered before we arrived (the front desk put the milk and yogurts in their refrigerator). I will use them again.

Here’s a picture from the lobby. Enjoy.

Fantastic photo!

If you are in a studio for 10 nights, you can request extra plates & bowls from housekeeping. Call in the request the night before your housekeeping day (assuming you're on points).

Thanks!

Yes, we were staying on points. Good to know about the ability to request additional plates & bowls. We'll do that next time!

Wow! You must have an amazing camera because that picture is crystal clear. I can't wait to go back!

What a beautiful picture! Thank you for posting-glad you had a great stay! :)

Great photos!

I'm glad that you know to get more paper supplies the next time!

Beautiful picture! Is the lighting in the lobby due to the fixtures alone or is it some natural light from the doors/windows? The lighting in the picture is unique (for lack of a better word).

I don't know the OP, but DW taught herself photography over the last 10 years, and now takes incredible pics. She gets this line all the time ("you must have a great camera"). I know now that the quality of the camera is only a very small part of what made OP's photo so special. It's much more about the person taking it. (Now to be fair, DW would also say her very nice camera is not nice enough. Can never satisfy a true photog...)

Great job, OP.

Great picture. It is now my desktop background. Thanks loads.

Great Photo

Thanks for posting it- can't wait to see it in March 2009 :cloud9:

A question for your DW or OP. Whenever I take pictures like the one posted above, they always come out real dark. How do you take pictures indoors in large areas and have them come out so that they are not so dark?

When we stay in a studio, we pack some plastic disposable plates and bowls. They are small and lightweight so they are easy to pack in our bag. We wash them after each use and they last us our entire stay. I'm not sure if you could use them in the microwave though (never tried) since hot food might melt the plastic but they work great for cereal, fruit and toast for breakfast.

That is a fantastic photo of the Kidani lobby!

Thanks for the great picture. Looking forward to you vacation post. We are staying at Kidani in October, can't wait!!!

Great photo, what type of camera? I am shopping for a new one.

:cool1:Great idea about using it as a desktop photo. I hope that is OK, Shawn? Thanks for the info about the paper plates....did you have to get any extra towels or did you find that you had enough? I don't know why I am worried about extra towels.....:rotfl:
