Just got a weird discount with PIN

So I called to see if I had a PIN attached to my name and the rep said yes. I checked my dates (06/16-06/20) and he gave me the discount. 2.5% off. Huh?? What kind of PIN is that. He said I didn't have the free dining one either. Does anyone know what could be going on? Are there restrictions that I am not meeting (dates or number of nights or resort category).

It's for 4 nights at POP (06/16-06/20). I even added tickets and no difference.

Did you buy tickets with your booking and if so, what kind of tickets did you buy? The reason I as is that some PINs are for free hopper or free WP&M, and not an actual room discount.

Wow, a whole 2.5%, huh? Im still holding out hope for an October discount! Here's hoping we both get something decent

I wonder if maybe it was for 10% off, but that only ONE of your nights was a covered date. That would essentially be 2.5%.

Numbers for example only...

Nights 1,2, and 3 x $100 each= $300
Night 4 @10% off = $90

Total pre discount would be $400
Total after discount would be $390

$400x 97.5% (aka a 2.5% discount)= $390

My guess is that is what happened.

this is what i was thinking too on the train ride home. figured the discount probably didn't include my saturday night and added to decreasing the discount. wow...10% that is so not cool. here's wishing for something else to come along. i usually get an AP every year but am playing with the idea of not getting another one this year and this no discount thing is killing my pocket book.

I just looked again at the one I just got. You should be getting up to 30% It does say "select Resort For MOST nights."

My dates where already covered bythe Spring Room Rate. This offer is just an extention of the Spring Room Rate which ends 6/14 but has already been extended before.

I also got the dinning offer but it is the same time frame they are offering it to everybody without the PIN. Don't get this one.

You should be getting up to 30%

All PINS are different. They can be for 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%,25%, 30%, 35%, and 40% off of room rates. They can also be for free dining, free hopper passes, free water parks and more, or various stay/play/dine deals. Not everyone gets the same PIN and some PINs are only good for a month or two while others are good for the whole year.
