Just for fun..

We will be staying for 21 nights in total, coming from the UK. We will arrive on the Friday, have just over a week off site, then on the Boardwalk for 5 nights (wedding week) and then 7 nights at POR.

We will be staying 2 nights pre-wedding @ the Grand Floridian ... Then off to California for 6 nights @ the Paradise Pier Hotel in Disneyland.. :yay:

Would love to stay more, but I am a teacher and have to be back in time to give exams!!!

We will be staying 9 says at AKL. Right now we have a pool view but I'm hoping maybe a good discount will come out and we can go up to a Savannah view. Neither of us have ever stayed at a deluxe before and I'm sure we will never be able to again so I am super excited!!!

only 4 nights :(

But the trip is a surprise! My FI and I decided not to go on a honeymoon after our Maine wedding bc of money and instead plan on taking one next summer. But, I checked Delta (we're using skymiles to get to Maine) and we could add a leg to orlando to the trip without costing extra miles! I got a wonderful discount on a room at the Poly and so we're headed to the Poly for four nights!

My FI is going to be so excited -- we have gone to disney every year now for three years. Recently, we decided to to Disney every other year and so when we decided to put off the honeymoon until next summer we realized that next summer was supposed to be our disney summer. Needless to say, he was bummed (even though Europe is a pretty nice trade!) that were were not going to go back to disney for another 2 years. I can't wait to tell him! He thinks we are staying 2 nights at a friends beach house near orlando and I hope that I can hold out until we arrive at the airport and get on the Magical Express rather than the rental car!

We'll be at Disney for 3 nights before the wedding, 7 nights after the wedding, then 16 days on Safari in Tanzania, Africa :woohoo:

:worship: for flexible work schedules :goodvibes

Well LOL I actually did 10 nights before the wedding with my familiy at Caribbean Beach Resort then I moved over to the Yacht Club about 4 nights before the wedding, this is when my DH arrived. Then we stayed another 2 nights after the wedding at The Yacht Club, before honeymooning on a 7 night Eastern Cruise with Disney Cruise Line, by the time we got back to Orlando all our family and friends had left Disney so we had 6 nights alone time at Beach Club Villas until we finally made our way back home, a tad excessive I must admit but sooo worth every moment!

I'm just curious to see how long everyone stayed for their honeymoons. I know it depends on money and time off from work and everything, but still. We haven't quite figured out how long ours we'll be. At least a week..

So how long were/are your Disneymoons?

:goodvibes
We spent seven days the wedding week in Disney, flew to Mexico for our honeymoon seven more days, the back to Disney for our Disneymoon six more days so 3 weeks

We were there 16 days total, with 12 days after the wedding for the honeymoon. It was FABULOUS! We had time to do all the parks but also see the water parks, play mini golf, tour the resorts or just sit around doing nothing if we wanted. I highly recommend a long honeymoon! :thumbsup2

In all, we did 5 nights at Beach Club Villas, 2 nights at the Contemporary, 5 nights at Animal Kingdom VIllas and our comp night at the Grand Floridian...

I really wanted a 10 day trip (As many trips as I've done, none have ever been longer than a week) but this trip will only be a week as well ( cheap companies that only give out 2 lousy weeks vacation!!!)

Anyway, on the bright side, we're getting to do 6 nights at GF (my ultimate wedding dream) and just got DF to think it was his idea to go down one day earlier (sat before the wedding) and stay overnight with my parents in their off property timeshare so we'll have extra time in Fl!! We drive from Raleigh, so whatever day we drive we arrive around dinner, this way we get in sat evening, run some errands, sleep in a litte sunday, and try to do early check in at GF!!! I can't beleive we leave 8 weeks from today!!!

We are driving from Texas so we are staying along the way a night down and a night back then 6 nights at POFQ. Wish it was longer but DH's company only gives him a week's vacation a year. :sad2:

Were coming from the UK and having 3 weeks in total.:cool1: 4 nights onsite, the rest in a private villa

We were in Disney a total of 11 nights. 4 for the 'wedding' part, 7 for the honeymoon.

We're doing 13 nights in Disney total. 5 nights leading up to the wedding at BWV and 8 nights post wedding for our honeymoon at WL/VWL. Then we are staying one night in Vegas on our way back home to Hawaii. :thumbsup2

Our plan is to stay at saratoga springs resort for 20 nights in total. :yay: The first 14 nights in a 1 bed apartment (need a larger space for when i need to get ready on the big day) and then the remaining 6 nights in a studio (as we are DVC members and this is what we have enough points for).

I've read on the boards that with a wishes wedding you get 1 free night at GF, so i think we'd use this in our last week but im not 100% sure whether we would get this (although we will be meeting the 25 night room minimum).

If anyone can confirm what goodies you get with a wishes wedding, i'd be interested to know.

With your wishes wedding you get 1 free night at the resort of your choice, but im pretty sure it must be used on the night of your wedding. :)

Hey Nicola,
The only goodies I know of for wishes weddings are (2) Annual Passes and a free night at the Disney Resort of your choice. I think it has to be used on your wedding night though. :confused3 We chose a Savannah Room in the Animal Kingdom.

I've heard rumors that your planner gives you a gift on your wedding day and that there may be additional surprise "magical moments" on your wedding day. But I won't know for sure for 2 more months.

If you meet your room night minimum (number depends on amount of guests), then you get your room on your wedding night free. (A few have been able to arrange the free night to be sometime during their honeymoon.) It is at the resort of your choice. I chose mine at the WL, but I believe most chose GF or Poly. A few keep their room they were at without moving, and just stay the free night at a different resort. That way they didn't have to move all their stuff for just one night. Others have it added in to their existing reservations.

With the Wishes wedding you also get AP's. A few also get the "gift" from Disney that is usually meant for Escape couples.

wow! i didnt know wishes weddings got AP's too! thought it was only escape brides (since it only mentions it on website for escape brides)

That's great thanks :cool1: If we have to use the free night accom on our wedding night, then of course we will... didnt know we had a choice... another thing to decide on :rotfl:
