Just Finished the 4/30-5/7 EB Fantasy Cruise

Did they add the St John excursions back in last minute, or were they available to book from the start?
I was checking up until the last minute before the cruise, and the St John excursions continued to show unavailable. Then Day 2 I realized they were listed in the app. So I went to the Port Excursions desk to be sure, because it has already been cancelled on us once and Magen’s Bay had also become available, so I wanted to make sure St John’s was actually good to go. And they told me they had just gotten the clear to begin resuming St John. I don’t think many people knew though, because the group was very small compared to when I did the same excursion 4 years ago. And it was showing still open to book even the morning of.

Was there a formal and semi-formal night? If so, did many participate and how were they dressed?
Formal night was night 2. I believe Semi Formal was night 6, but we were in Palo, so I’m not 100%. Formal night seemed to me to have at least 75% participation. Only bummer, they weren’t handing out the free drinks in the atrium like how I remember during formal night previously.

Thanks for the info! We just booked the 9 night in July and all the St Johns excursions show as sold out, but others said they have never been available to book. Just wondering if Disney will add them as available now since you were able to go there last week!

Yeah, when they cancelled ours pre-cruise, they also were listed as “sold out”. I’d be curious if by calling, they would book it.

I know masks are no longer required, but are staff still wearing them? Many passengers still wearing them?
I follow a Vlogger who is on a Princess cruise right now and all the staff are still wearing masks on his cruise, and about a third of the passengers.

What evenings had the shows occurring? Aladdin, Frozen, etc? Thanks for taking the time and answering all the questions!

Aladdin was night 2, Frozen was night 3, and Believe was night 7. The other acts were a comedian/ventriloquist on night 1, magician night 4, and an acapella group night 5. Night 6 for us was the Dr Strange premiere.

What day did you choose for Remy? We are having a hard time choosing a date/time? We enjoy Pirate night so that rules out day 4. It is our first trip on the Fantasy (Dream x4) and have 3 kids, so want to catch the main shows. How long did the dinner at Remy take?

Are you doing a 7 nighter?

We only went to Palo, but we chose night 6. It was the weakest menu in my opinion. Night 4 was the pirate menu, which we had not been able to try yet. And then night 7 was lobster tail. Palo took 90ish minutes, I believe Remy is a longer experience than that however.

I should clarify what our dining rotation was, I actually have no idea if the dinner menus depend on your MDR order? We were RAERAER. So lobster night for us, as an example, was night 7 back in Royal Court. But I realized I am not sure if everyone had lobster night that night, or if it depended on what night you returned to Royal Court.

It's based on where you're eating. The Captain's Gala menu (lobster) is always at Royal Court.

Nothing to do with any previous questions, just wanted to update anyone who is curious and maybe considering how careful they want to be onboard… our cruise’s fb group currently has 15 people out of ~450 members who are reporting testing positive for covid now. We just decided to go ahead and take tests ourselves to be safe, and we’re all still negative. Also, the staff switched to KN95’s halfway through I cruise, and I am hearing it is because of rising cases. On the 7th night, our server also did not make it to dinner service. We were told he was injured, but others are saying their servers also started missing towards the end. No idea how honest and forthcoming they would be. I just want to provide the info, in case anyone is considering what level of caution they want to practice in terms of masking, packed elevators, sitting closely in theaters, etc. Please don’t begin debating anything else covid wise.

Glad you're still negative. My wife is now positive and the rest of us are negative so far. According to someone on the FB group they were quarantined in a room next to the Kids club on deck 5 so that is something that people should be aware of when roaming the ship
