Hi All,
This is my first post on this forum. I am little upset, I have just finished with all the planning and organising for my Disney Wedding and now I have found a support network. I have just read back over most of the postings and they are exactly the same questions I have had for the last few months.
Anyway I guess I should let you know how my wedding planning is all going....
Originally it was my parents going on holiday to America just the two of them, they thought they should invite my sister and her boyfriend and my fiancee and me. We all jumped at the chance of going, I would live out there if I could.
One night I was joking with my fiancee about booking a date and maybe we should get married in one of those little Las Vegas style chapels. He loved the idea, and then I put it down as I said we couldn't prove to his parents that mine weren't there. We started to look around and found Disney's Wedding Site. In about a week we decided upon an intimate ceremony at Sunset Pointe. We called, but we couldn't have that location. We then had another thought and decided on the Wedding Pavilion, and booked the date on my grandparents anniversary.
I got my dress after having several nightmares about getting one (I am not a girly girl and don't think dresses suit me). I will post a picture as soon as I can.
So I have dress, organised my family, now for the Grooms family. We have had a stuck of bad luck, four weeks ago, my fiancee's dad went into hospital and had a heart attack, he may not be able to fly now. He has outpatient appointment in March next year so it is all hanging on that to whether they come.
My sister has been a nightmare too.
First she didn't want to be bridesmaid, then she did, and came dress shopping with me, found something, loved it, then showed her boyfriend. Then it all fell apart. She now wants a dress that looks like a corset and long skirt. I have since given in but now my other bridesmaid (my fiancee's sister) doesn't like it and would like to try on dresses.
Besides my two hiccups, everything is good. All my Disney options are done. My fiancee and I decided on Mickey and Minnie attending the cake cutting reception. MK photoshot. And since we are having a early wedding even booked a restaurant for lunch in Downtown Disney (so I can wear my dress longer). My officiant is Kevin Knox, seams like a lovely guy. And Anna from Makeover Majic for my hair, I even found the style I want.
I have today asked if I can change my bouquet, I found from this site it would be nice to have hidden mickeys in it
I better carry on reading the other postings, this is a great site for any Disney Bride.
