I have an answering machine built into my phone but there is also a number I can call to find out the last number that called me.Do you have this over there or do you have caller display?I am just curious to find out.

*69 wont tell you the number it just calls it back. Or at least last time I used it thats what happened. I also have caller ID on all phones... it's so nice.

That's interesting, Preshi...Maybe it's a local thing because it gives the # here and then you have to press a 1 to call it back.

Here, near San Antonio, our *69 simply dials the number - the charge is 50¢ per use.

I have BT answer service and can dial 1471 to hear the number of the last caller.

I have caller ID that tells me who is calling, so if you try to call me Bouncy, I'll know it's you ;)

I could use *69, but I called to disable that. I never have used it. In my area, if I want caller ID, I have to know the numbers that would call me to program the caller ID. If the phone rings around here, I just about know who it is when it's ringing (6th sense;) ). I don't use caller ID, either.

We have *69 here and it's a 75 cent charge to use it. All it does is tells you the last number that called you and then gives you the option of connecting you - at an additional charge I'm sure. If the call has been blocked or is marked private - it will not give the number out. Otherwise we don't have caller id which I wish we did.

We have caller ID. *69 is available if one does not have caller ID and needs that info. I thought everyone in the states had access to caller id:confused: ! We have had it in the last 3 states we lived starting about 6-7 years ago I think.

Caller ID here on all phones, plus the *69 call back, and several other features, are part of our package. No additional charge for using the features.
