just curious how many people booked dining with the 40% off code?

we're booked for dec 18-26, got the code and dining package. on my initial call....okay, my ta did all the calls....she was told it was for room only. i initially declined because we are big eaters and really wanted the dining plan. she emailed me a few days ago to say woohoo! we got the code with a package. i'm not sure if they changed the rules with the code or if we got lucky with a new person...but i wasn't asking. i was soooo excited! now, if i get my adr's that i want i will be singing all the way through the airport and the next 293 days hehe, anyone else have the days counted?? i'm just so excited for this florida christmas.

I a sure they didn't recently change the rules with the code because I have had my package with dining booked since mid January.

BTW, you are not alone with the counting days!

It's not as if you are able to get "free dining" with a code..simply adding on the regular price of dining with the discounted room. At least that was my impression when I called. They wanted to book me the dining at that time..and frankly I wasn't sure if we wanted it..as our plans our tentative. I made the reservation with a pin mailer..turned out to be about 40%. They said I could add the dining at any time along with at least one person with a length of stay pass. Reservationist asked me right off the bat if that was what I wanted...since the package requirements are different also..as far as deposits and prepayment..so far I've opted for just a room only reservation. I wonder if I do add the dining..isn't it then a "package"..and then must be prepaid at the 45 day out point?

Also we are going from Dec 20- dec 27th in disney world and Dec 16th- 20th we are doing a cruise is the 40% code good for this time frame and is it good for the cruises as well? Please help.

The code is good only for a room at the resorts--sorry, not the cruise. Your check-in date falls within the discounted time period. You would have to call-or have your TA call-and see if you or someone in your household is eligible. Good luck!

I got the 40% off room discount but not sure we can afford the DDP. Scheduled this vacation without alot of notice so working overtime to make it happen.

No, you cannot do both. For me the 40% off was better than free dinning.

i did not receive a code- do oyu need to specifically recieve the code yourself- otr if i contact my travel agent will he be able to give me the code? Also how dod oyu get this code- do oyu have to be an annual visitor to Disneyworld? I am paying for 14 people to go on this trip - 7 adults and 7 kids- so a 40% off code would greatly appreciated- even if it is jsut the rooms. Give you TA a call and ask her to call disney to see if you have any codes attached to your name.

I was able to add dining to my 40% off room rate from Dec 18th - Jan 1st and then Jan 1st- Jan 4th!

We all had to purchase 1 day disney tickets but with all that it was less then 2200.00 for 14 nights! That is with 4 people and staying in Value resort.

We did not book dining, however, the CM told me I had up until 3 days prior to arrival to add dining to our package. Since we don't go until the end of May, I have several weeks to decide.

CM explained that normally dining package is allowed when rack rate on room is paid. I have pin code for the 40% off, so dining plan was regular rate on top. Dining plan is not discounted for 40% as I would have believed it would be.

only room rate is discounted by 40%. hope that clears it up for others.

I don't think anyone thought that you could get the dining discounted too. I think this thread was started because some CMs weren't allowing people to book the dining if one was using the 40% code.

I booked the 40% code today at AKL w/ dining. 3 adults, 1 child, 6 nights w/ 6 base tickets and dining plan for $2489.88 I'm so excited I can't controll myself.
