We are currently at Disney and dh and I just bit the bullet and bought 320 points at Bay Lake. We are so excited about it, but had one big reservation...we couldn't go and see it. We saw the model room at SSR and really liked it.

My question...now that we are members and our home resort is BLT can we get in to see it before we leave? Or do you have to have a stay there to see it?

Thanks for your help!! ;)

I believe that they have a member's Open House from 2 - 4 pm each day (at least they did) to see the rooms.

I would ask your guide about whether or not this is still going on. If it is not, then there is no way that I know of to tour the building until you are staying there.

Congratulations!!!!

Definitely check out the member's open house. I can tell you that the models are great representations of what the rooms look like. It is a gorgeous resort!

We bought at BLT during our trip last week. Understandably, we wanted to see our investment as well. So, we just took the monorail over and stopped at the DVC desk on the ground floor. To our delight, we found out they have a dedicated model for the studio/one bedroom lockoff and the Guide let us in. I took lots of pictures of the new "investment"... which was a lot more fun (for us) than an open house! I got the impression we were not unique in our request to see our new investment... and the Guide was very friendly and accommodating.

Good luck! Evey =)

Here's hubby lounging in "our" new studio bedroom... hehe!

Not to be bossy but if you have not already done this I would break up your contract into smaller ones. For example: a 100 pts., 2 at 60 pts. and 2 at 50 pts. . This makes it easier to sell some points later on if you need to.

Totally agree break up the contract if you have not already done it! It is much harder to sell a 320 contract then a 100, 100 and 120 or as pp suggested.

Congrats on purchase!

I also bought 320. I have 160, 100, and 60.

pixiedust: Congratulations and Welcome Home, neighbor! pixiedust:

Do ask at the Contemporary Resort's DVC kiosk to see the models and amenities at BLT. Or check with your guide on the best way you can get in and see your new home. You can have lunch at the Wave if you want or the Contempo Cafe and watch the monorails come and go.
