Just bought a Canon Powershot A540, will I like it?

I decided to trade up from my Olympus, that was getting too hard to figure out. I wanted something simple, but give me beautiful shots. I hope I like this on our trip to DW and cruise next week. What do you think?

I love Canon. They're so easy to use, and generally provide great shots for little investment in effort. As with any camera, though, just be aware that they take far better indoor shots with a steady hand and the flash off, than they do with the flash on. Keep that in mind, and I'm sure you'll be very happy with your purchase!

My husband and kids bought me the Canon Powershot SD550 for my birthday this weekend. I'm guessing it's similar to the one you have? It's the first digital camera I've ever owned and they all know how electronically challenged I am, so they tried to find a digital camera that was easy to use.

I've always used a Pentax 35mm or Nikon 35mm camera, and I've tried to avoid going digital, but I really like my new Canon. They also got me a photo printer, (I think that's what it's called), so I can take pictures with the digital camera and then make prints of the pictures. They know I'm still going to want those prints in my hands!

We bought our daughter a new digital camera last week and it's the Casio Exilim. She loves it because it's very slim and stylish and has a large viewing screen on the back.

Both cameras take very good pictures. I bet you'll like your Canon!
