Just booked CR!

I'm so excited! I just got off the phone with CRO. I booked the Contemporary Tower for October for 9 days. I have been dying to stay here. We just returned from a stay at the Wilderness Lodge last week and it was nice but I didn't care for the transportation. I love the fact of the monorail right there and Chef Mickey's too! We have tickets to the MNSSHP for the 17th so now I'm going to book dinner at CM. Does anyone remember how many days I can book a resort restaurant in advance? I did request MK view so I'm hoping to get it. I have a rate of $399 a night but am waiting for the AP rates to come out. They are only out until September 30. Anyone know when the new rates usuallly come out? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks!

I think you may have been lucky to get your ressies for the time you wanted, Oct. I booked CR way back in Jan., tower room, Oct. 12 to 20th. In April, my DD and her DH decided they would join us there before their cruise ( I will have the grandkids at DW while they are on the cruise .) Anyway I called several times and was always told that CR was full, as well as the wings for the dates they wanted, Oct. 12th to 14th. Told that maybe because of SOG or maybe a convention. Also tried to add on an extra night at the end but had the same problem. All worked out ok in the end, DD and her hubby will stay at All Stars and save some money for the cruise. While I will be at CR with grandkids and my other DD. Enjoy your stay! I am also waiting for AP rates to come out.

Karen I remember reading about you trying for additional days with CR. It had me worried as I knew I was going to try to book it myself around those dates. When I called CRO today, I asked for October 15th as the start date but was told that was indeed booked. They could only give it to me if I changed the date to October 16th. Since I can go anytime I want, it wasn't a big deal this time. I only wanted a tower room so I feel I really lucked out! Keep trying for your additional date. I booked the Wilderness Lodge and had to add an extra day on to the beginning. They kept telling me they were booked solid. I happened to call a week before I was leaving and they had a day available! Maybe you will get lucky.

Thanks skiwee1, Actually I ended up booking the Poly for the last 2 days of this vacation. This will work out just fine . Those last 2 days will just be DH and I , grandchildren and my kids will be heading back home then and DH will be joining me . We really like the Poly. Got a lagoon view , first time for that. So just as it should happen at DW , this story had a happy ending Enjoy your stay at CR.I am also looking forward to staying there, haven't been there in about 25 years or so, since my kids were kids. Now I'll be there with my grandchildren, time flies .
