Um, we watched the Omen, which was really creepy. Then Knocked Up, which was pretty funny. Then we watched that new one the Grown Ups, with Adam Sandler and all those guys. It was a lot funnier than expected. I recommend it if you're looking for a laugh. But nothing spectacular. I've been in the mood for Christmas movies lately, but I don't know what to watch.

I've been in a Chrismtas mood lately too (especially after buying some of the Mistletoe candles from Yankee Candle yesterday ... I love that scent so much) but we don't actually own any Christmas movies. I might just have to settle for The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. At least Santa makes an appearance, right?

Very true! And you just reminded me that I need to watch that one too.

I own a few Christmas movies. Mostly Disney ones of course. I got Mickey's Christmas Carol and a couple other cartoon ones. Then I have the first 2 Santa Clause movies, Jingle All The Way and The Holiday, which is one I have been considering, but I want to watch one I haven't seen. I usually pick them up right after Christmas cause they all go down in price, and are usually pretty cheap.

I'm surprised we don't own the Santa Clause movies. We all really liked those a lot! I'll have to double check but I'm about 95% sure we don't have any Christmas movies. Well, we do have those old Rankin/Bass stop-animation classics like Rudolph, but they are all on VHS so we can't watch them anymore. I meant to buy them on DVD last year so maybe I should get those for the family for Christmas. My parents absolutely love them.

I've seen them in box sets around here, and the prices aren't bad.

I changed my mind about being happy that the weather is warm today. It means that storm we are getting tonight is expected to be freezing rain instead of snow. That is 10 times worse than rain or snow!!! It means EVERYTHING turns into a skating rink.

Me neither. Mostly because on the roads you can't see it. They call it black ice, and it's the scariest because nobody thinks it's there, but it is. It's a challenge just to walk on the sidewalk. We don't get it often, which is good, but I am not looking forward to this!

Well, be careful! I've heard of black ice. My grandparents get it occasionally this time of the year and I always get so anxious driving up there just in case. I'm terrified of ice, lol.

Naw, I set it back up a while ago. I was debating taking it all down, but me without a TR is almost like me without my camera. It just didn't feel right. So I've got a new thread and I re-posted the September trip and I'm now about halfway through last weeks visit.

I admit I haven't been in a posting/chatting mood lately. Busy-ness of the season, and the drama I don't really know much about is still a bit of a downer for me? I can only imagine how others who do know about it must feel. I guess I feel kinda silly that I'm the one that's down about it? Ugh, I don't think I'm making any sense at all today.

Haha. I totally know what you mean. My parents said the same thing and honestly, I felt the same thing as a kid during my school breaks. But I also didn't do anything over the breaks anyway. I was a total home-body and loner and I got bored so easily. I was always in my moms hair and it drove her nuts.

My Mom always dreaded school breaks because we would drive her crazy with the "I'm bored" comments, lol.

Haven't received the photos yet, but I was expecting for it to take a while, coming from the States. Also with it being the Christmas season, it might even take a little longer. Hopefully this week.

Gotcha. I can't even remember what day I mailed them back on. I think if it were just a plain old envelope it would have gotten their sooner but since it's a package with a disc it wont be so quick. Hopefully it does this week!
