We just got back yesterday from 4 nights at bwv. It was girls only==my mother (a spry 64 year old, dd7, and myself). Arrived Friday night. Disney's magical express took about 40 minutes for the bus to leave. I figured it would have taken a shorter time to get a rental car, but since this was free not a bad deal. We checked into bwv past 1 am. We had the almost end studio on the back side of the quiet pool building. Preferred view studio, but not worth the extra points since the view was mainly of parking and a busy road with a thin strip of pond between. And it was one of those famously looooong walks. I knew from postings on this board that we would get a crap room checking in so late. By then hundreds of people had declined this room, I'm sure. The next day we were moving to a one bedroom anyway and I was dead tired. I had worked all day.....you get the idea.

The bags did not arrive until morning==we brought pjs after reading this board. The next morning the bag service said they are hesitant to bring bags up in the wee hours. I was asleep by then anyway. The next day we changed to a lovely 1 br with a view of the clown. dd7 was overjoyed, and at least the walk was shorter. The room was in good shape. They were painting the halls sparking new white.

That morning we did flower and garden. The butterfly tent , soarin, topiaries all were marvelous. DD got bored by evening, so back to slide out the clown mouth that afternoon. That night I used the 25% dvc discount for La Nouba tickets. Second row side. Great view. Great show. We all loved it.

The next day mk in the am and mgm at night for fantasmic. We did all the mountains(splash, space, and thunder railroad). We ate lunch in the castle (even if they are all booked, they take walkins at certain times). My mother discovered pin trading. We used the coupon with the magical express paperwork to get a free lanyard and pin. I bought some energizer batteries with trading pin included before we left. She traded for all mickey pins by the time we left. You have never seen a prouder senior citizen eating a mickey bar wearing a lanyard full of mickey.

The last day we did animal kingdom. Lines were low and we walked onto safari twice with no wait. Then more sliding out the clown mouth and evening on the boardwalk. Beware the juggler---he was a bit rough with the kids and several he chose to help with the act ended up crying. They were too young to get the humor he intended. We rode the surrey bikes around the lake. Dinner at big rock was perfect to see fireworks during our late dinner. We checked out yesterday and took the friendship boat over to bcv for lunch at beaches and cream. They had the pool completely roped in and were heavily watching the use. ME came on time for pick up, but southwest airlines had very very long lines to check in. Probably heavier use with the $99 roundtrip special. Now today back to work. Can't wait to go back home.

Three days is not enough....but I'll be back soon. Thanks everybody. The information here really helped plan a great great vacation.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing!!!

Ms. Sparrow aka Allison

Thanks for the report. Your mom sounds so cute, makes me think of my mom who also proudly wears her Mickey lanyard.
