Just back from a wonderful trip to the world with my hubby. We had a great time and I am happy to answer any questions. Weather was amazing.

FP worked wonderfully. Booked my three 60 days out and was able to modify as needed. Was ALWAYS able to get a 4th,5th, and even more in parks. The worked well because we would start at on park at rope drop and the could add a fourth for later in the afternoon at our 2nd park.

Rope drop is your friend. Was able to ride everything we wanted to with little or no wait. For example, showed up at the world showcase entrance at 8:40am, entered 5 mins later, walked slowly (I don't get the foolish fast walk thing) walked on FEA in 5 min, walked slowly to TT, got on in 10 min, then made our 9-10 FP for Soarin. Did something similar at each park.

Cast Members AND other guests were pleasant and enjoyable. No bad experiences the whole week. It was very crowded for me. Basically, I needed to leave the park by noon each day as the crowds became too much for me. We would go to a second park late afternoon/nighttime to see the shows. I haven't been for 12 years and we used to go the first or second week in December. I'm hoping this week is still not as busy, as I would like our next trip to the world to be when can see the Christmas decorations and parade.

Transportation was decent. I hate waiting for buses, but that is just me and the buses were reliable and quick for the most part. We were at the Boardwalk, so we only needed to use the bus for MK and AK. We used uber several times for early morning or after fireworks transportation.

Did a monorail pub crawl, very fun! Did the dessert party for the Star Wars show, it was as expected. The show was phenomenal. Also did Fantasmic, Illuminations, and Wishes. Wishes is my absolute favorite. I made hubby sit in front of the castle an hour and a half before it started. Soooo worth it. He agreed after. Lol

Did BOG for breakfast, it was stunning. Simple gorgeous and worth it to me.

Just my opinion but Space Mountain is horrible. The ride is not fun and it's so dated. This needs a refurb in my opinion. Enjoyed all other rides, it was our first time riding Soarin since the change and also our first time on Everest and FEA. I thought FEA was amazing, and can't imagine how people could complain about it? Everest was a blast and I enjoy Soarin but much more if I'm toward the middle. Was able to ride all three of these rides two to three times each by using FP plus day of.

This was much longer than intended, I will be happy to answer any questions. We are huge Universal fans, but with the hotel prices being so high and renting points at WDW resorts so affordable, I think our next trip will be Disney.

We were there from 13th to 27th and I agree that some days were much busier than we expected.

My 9 year old absolutely loved Space Mountain and Expedition Everest and rode EE 7 times in one day over and over by using the single rider line which never had more than a 5 minute wait time posted.

The single rider line was great for RnR Coaster and EE and also got us on Test Track nice and quickly too.
Although always separated, we were nearly always on at least the same "train" each time on all 3 (test track single rider had my 13 yr old in the back seat and 9 yr old front seat despite being "separated").

Can you tell me more about your experience with Uber after the fireworks? Do you think it saved you time? And where did you arrange your pickup to be? Thanks!

I know it saved us time. You ask to be picked up at the CR. It's a 5 min walk from the exit of MK. I can't remember the exact price, but we never paid more than $7 our entire trip. Plus whatever you want to tip. It's worth it to me, But I understand it is not for everyone. We also used it for our PPO breakfast at MK as I was concerned about what time to be at the bus stop. The uber eliminates all guessing as you know the price ahead of time. We never waited more than 5-10 min for an uber pickup. For the MK, they will always drop or pickup at the CR which is a quick walk to/from MK.

We rode for the first time yesterday and completely agree! The picture of my kids on that ride cracks me up every time I look at it. I guess if you hate Frozen or really loved the old ride, I get it, but it was great with the kids and I loved it too.
