Im back from my short trip to WDW! I had a great time and i didnt want to leave.
Mini-trip report: Me and my family won a trip to WDW and got a free trip to the GF for 5 days, 4 nights i think. But really it was more like 3.5 days of real park time.
The first day: woke up at 4am to start traveling from cold ohio to sunny florida! Got in around noon i think. Dropped off our stuff at the GF and headed off to EPCOT. Enjoyed the park. Especially Soarin'! We loved this ride and thought it was new and exciting, I suggest a fastpass
We ate dinner at the japanese restaurant where they cook the food in front of you on a grill with big knives. Our cooker guy had an eyepatch and was really funny. and the food was really good. Went to bed early.
Second day: MGM DAY! Went to MGM and did everything there. Including the new "Lights! Motors! Action! show" THIS SHOW IS SOOO GOOD! We even went back to see it a second time. See this is you can! I dont even like cars and i thought this show was excellent. The cars come sooo close to hitting eachother its crazy! Rode Star Tours (i love star wars, but this ride does make me a bit nauseous), got a Bobbafett shirt. yesss. Did WWTBAM twice, because my sister loves it, and really wants to win so she makes go back a million times. That night after dinner (Sci-Fi) me and my sister went to Magic Kingdom. Did a few rides there that had minimal wait times (not too many).
Third day: MK DAY! Slept in a bit. Got up and went to MK. Lucked out with a lot of fastpasses didnt have to wait long for anything. Actually got to see the sword in the stone ceremony, which i had never seen before, but knew existed. The child that was 'chosen' was totally freaked out my Merlin and WOULD NOT pull the sword out, let alone come near the sword or merlin. Which was dissapointing, its like pick another kid! Left the park, ate dinner. Came back for the MVMCP!!! This was totally awesome! Ok, free cookies? um, yes please. And the rides had like no wait at all! I totally suggest going. Had a really fun time, laughed alot at this "character dance party" in fantasyland. Picture this, a DJ, kids, and dance music. Chip and Dale, Rafiki, Pinnochio, Gephetto, Pluto dancing to rap music, i swear to God. It was soooo funny. Saw the parade with my sister which was excellent, even thought i not a huge parade person.
Fourth day: WHATEVER WE DIDNT DO DAY! Spent the first half of the day at MGM doing everything over again, and some stuff we missed. Ate dinner at 'Ohana's. THIS WAS AWESOME. Im even super picky, and i filled up on whatever i liked and it was good. The chicken wings were like heaven.
Then spent the second half of the day at EPCOT. Which was very dissapointing. Got there about 7:30pm, park closes at 9:30pm. My sister and I walked to that electronic board that tells the wait times, and i swear like 70% of the rides said closed. Um...hello? Not cool. So we rode Soarin' and Spaceship Earth again and left unhappy. Thankfully I had already ridden everything i had wanted to or i would have been very angry.
What I thought of the Grand Floridian: I was very happy to go here because i figure this was like my one chance to stay here (and it was free!). But to tell you the truth, i didnt really get what all the fuss was over. Ok from the outside its BEAUTIFUL. And the lobby is really cool, and the service is really good, monorail service is nice. But i thought the rooms looked like every other disney hotel room. We even had a lagoon view room. It didnt seem bigger or any nicer than the Port Orleans resort where we usually stay. I mean it was nice, no problems with it. But i dont really get why it costs sooo much more that the other resorts, when i didnt really see much of a difference.
ANY QUESTIONS!
