Just wanted to let everyone know that we loved the WL! The cast members were GREAT! Loved the theming, pool, transportation. Loved it all. Will definitely stay there again. We had a most relaxing stay and wonderful trip this year. I'm ready to go back!!

Welcome back and glad you enjoyed your stay. What room did you stay in? View? Thanks!

We'll be there next month. How long did the transportation take. Did it go to FW also? I know I read a lot of complaints about it.

Welcome back!! Glad you loved the WL!! It is one of my favorite places to stay!! :)

Patio - Our room number was 5121, courtyard view, in the smoking option section (see explanation below) with a wonderful view of the stream and landscaping right in front and if you looked to your right you could see the pool and the lake.

Originally we were place in a room on the second floor. this particular room had a tree right in front of the balcony and could not see very well. I had requested an upper floor upon booking and also faxed a request prior to our arrival. So I went to the front desk and asked if they had any rooms available on an upper floor. They found Rm 5121 which they put on hold and showed to me. It was in optional smoking section which didn't bother us. The cast members were very nice and willing to accomodate our request.

Lucki 4- Transportation was not a problem for us. We rarely had to wait more than 5 to 10 minutes for a boat or bus. Transportation is shared with FW, but it didn't really bother us. Sometimes WL was picked up after FW so it was much quicker to get to MK.

We have stayed at the WL three times and love it too. We are thinking about trying some place different though next time just to see!

I am thinking about staying in the WL in September. I just love the pictures. I was wondering how big is the pool and did it get very crowded?

Thank you for your help,
Jenifer

The pool at WL is not huge, but I thought it accomodated the resort well. However, it was crowded at the poolside, but mainly the chairs on the front rows. We went to the Villas pool which was alot less crowded and more peaceful. My dd loved the slide at the main pool.

Have a great trip.

Blake1 -- Welcome back and welcome to the WL Fan Club. My DW and I stayed there in May. This has become our favorite. The theming, decor, fireplace, rockers, pools, beach, walkways, landscaping -- WOW! All that and Disney, too -- what more could someone ask for?!?!

Transportation for us was great. We barely had a 5 minute wait -- if that much -- for any bus any time. The ride to FW on shared buses was no problem -- we still got to the parks in plenty of time, and we got to meet some fun people from another resort!

The only "complaint" I had was transportation back -- and this happened only twice. We had a longer than average wait 1 time at EPCOT. We had a really long (35 - 40 mins.) wait at AK. Otherwise, no problems.

WL is #1!!:D

Wilderness Lodge is awesome. I just got back about a month ago and Im going again in July. Thank god for the discount codes and those delightful chicken wraps in the food court. Can I get some love for those chicken wraps???

mat2672,, tell me about the chicken wraps. I will be checking in JUne 23. I will have to try one. What else is good at the food court? thanks,,,,corvair

We just got back from the WL as well. We stayed there 4 nights for our honeymoon. We loved it as well. They were so nice, and the theming is beautiful. We also had the meal of our lives at Artist Point. It was truly gourmet, with excellent service and a wonderful ambience. I would HIGHLY recommend this resort and restaurant. WCC was fun, but I would only do it again if I was staying at the resort, while AP would be worth a trip for those not staying at the WL. We had a wonderful room, 6037, which is one of the few non-handicapped king rooms. It is at the base of the U, and has a wonderful view of the courtyard and lake. What was so nice is that they upgraded us for free. I had faxed them a week before, and they went above and beyond my requests. I can't say enough about this resort.

well, the thing is that I dont mind food court type food. Im not a picky eater when its late at night and I just got in from one of the parks and I have the munchies. The wilderness lodge food court might not have the largest selection of foods that some others might have, but I think it serves its purpose. The chicken wraps are basically just your basic soft tortilla wrapped around slices of chicken, mayo, lettuce..you get the picture. I also thought the chili and soups were pretty good too. As far as the main foods there such as the cheese steaks, etc., its about what you would normally get from a disney food court. Its not gourmet food ,but it will ease those late night cravings when the restaurants are closed. And since the food court is very close to all rooms, it makes those refillable mugs very useful and worth the money. If its your first time at the WL, you will be so overwhelmed by the hotel itself that you wont mind the expensive, greasy food court food at all. Enjoy!!!!!!!
