This was our second time staying in the cabins at FW. I REALLY love this resort. We had such a great time.

First they were going to put us in the 2400 loop, but I got it switched to 2100, that's our favorite.

We rented a golf cart this time, such fun, my ds 6 loved looping. Some camp sites are decorated nice. Lots of halloween decorations and one site, I think in the 1200 loop looks like they live there. They had a lighted Mickey head in the trees. I think loop 800, can't remember the name was closed and being made bigger. I saw two pull through sites, that I hadn't realized they had.

I did see the cabins in the 100 loop this time. They are close to the marina, but I bet there is a lot of foot traffic and I like the picnic table on the porch. Those porches are a lot smaller.

Also, I know people have been telling people you can't hear Wishes from the beach and you can,,,well we heard it PERFECTLY clear on the beach and the fireworks from the right side, down near the old volleyball net setup were perfect. Yo ucould see just about everything.

We were sad that the wagon rides are suspended for Oct. We could have done the carriage rides, but I really wanted to do the wagon and didn't realize they wouldn't have them in Oct or we would have tried to do it sooner in the trip.

HDDR was great. We hadn't done that in 10 years and the kids had a great time. Watch out for that sangria though...WHOO

I took lots of pictures but haven't uploaded them yet. I'll try to post some soon.

thanks for the report. Cant wait to see the pics!

Sounds like you had a great trip! Thanks for the report - can't wait to see pics!

I just remembered something, that well I thought was funny.

We were going to the Winn Dixie and we went out Bonnett Creek, all the way down to OKW made a left and right after we made the left an OTTER ran across the road.

Sorry I can't remember the person on here that always refers to the Otters, but I spotted one, in an odd spot too.

I laughed, made me think of you.

Also, what are they building at the end of Bonnett Creek Road closest to the fort????

Thanks for the report! Sounds like a great trip! And you spotted an otter too!! Deb will be proud!

Looking forward to the pics!:thumbsup2

We did go to MNSSHP on the 28th. Lots of fun, even got the kids pic with Snow White and Dwarfs. Just watch fireworks from outside Toontown along the fence to the right and as soon as they're over, out they come. We did stay in a cabin, love them, lots of room.

We rented a golf cart for most of the time, but transportation when used was never a problem. Some bus drivers don't even have to announce stops, the VOICE does. We didn't have that last time we were there. We also rented a car, which was actually cheaper than the gold cart per day, thanks to mousesaver codes.

The weather was awsome. We had one moring with a few sprinkles but that was it.

FW is great. Take time to enjoy it. The only dissapoinment was the sing a long at the campfire. The other lady before was MUCH better. Wagon Wheel Bob or something like that was OK, but the lady last time we were there was GREAT!!

Make sure to look for the armadillo's. My kids love seeing them

Also, I think the 2100 loop is more centrally located to the main pool and Meadows Trading so if you have to walk it not too far. Also we stayed there last time and really liked it. It seemed smaller than some others, it may not be, but it seemed that way. Also less of it seems to but up against the road.

I know who you're talking about! We were there for the month of August in the 1300's and when we rode our bikes by that site, I noticed that they had a little garden beside their rig and were actually growing a watermelon! They must be permanent residents.

I think the maximum you can stay is 6 months and I mentioned this to a worker, but he just smiled and said that if people are willing to pay and the campground is not full, then it's not really a problem.

That's the one. I have a picture, but I'm having a problem attaching them correctly, once I figure it out I'll post it. But they definately are there for a long time, the garden is still there as well and I think the camper is for sale
