Just back from Dolphin

We got back yesterday from WDW. We stayed 10 nights at the Dolphin. Check-in was quick and the front desk staff was nice. I paid for a club level room with and AP discount. As some of the other's had said, the hallways were worn, but maybe eventually it will be rehabed as well.

The room was nice. The heavenly beds were wonderful and I can't say enough about that oatmeal soap. The rooms were small. It felt crammped for a family of 4.

Housekeeping was not great. They were extremely impatient in trying to get you out of the room so that they could get in. One time I forgot to put the privacy please sign on the door, and she knocked 5 times at least (and she kept coming back) to find out when we were leaving.

All in all, the stay was nice. I'm glad I tried another reosrt on Disney property, and the Dolphin is a nice place that I would recommend

I don't mind housekeeping coming early in the day, this way when we return for our afternoon swim/break, our room is clean and refreshed!

You said you had oatmeal soap? I thought they switched to a new brand from Crabtree & Evelyn? Maybe they were giving out the last bars of the oatmeal soap during your stay.

Thank you for the review Sheree'. We'll be at the Dolphin next month. I can relate about housekeeping. We've stayed at hotels both at WDW and other places for a whole week and housekeeping would come at a different time every day. One day we would come back to our room at 3 p.m. and they would just be cleaning it and then the next day they'd be knocking at 8 a.m. wondering when we were leaving for the day. The one experience that sticks out in my mind is about 5 years ago at POR (then Dixie Landings). I sent my family off to breakfast while I finished getting ready. I was standing there finishing my makeup wearing only a pair of shorts and my BRA and with no knock on the door at all the maid comes busting in the room, sees MY bust (sorry couldn't resist that ;-) and I'm not sure which one of us was more embarrassed and she apologizes and leaves. That was the only glitch in our stay (and it could have been worse if I was just out of the shower or something) so I wasn't angry but I sure do know to make sure to keep the do not disturb sign out now!

I think the soaps you are talking about are only in the Deluxe Rooms, we swtiched from a Deluxe Room which had the type you mentioned to a Pool View Standard and the oatmeal soap was in there.

we had oatmeal soap it was in different packaging than the last time....I think it's there to stay!

The housekeeping coming in the morning didn't bother me normally, but after you stay at the Magic Kingdom for e-ride nights till 2, the last thing you want to do is wake up early in the morning

It was a nice stay, I have no real complaints at all. I would stay there again
