We stayed in a Cabin for the first time last week. We knew what to expect due to all the research we did on this board and we were basically happy but I don't think we would stay there again. We loved tooling around in the rented cart and our dd thought it was so great seeing all the decorated campsites and music and lights. It was a very lively resort in the evenings and the campfire with Chip and Dale was great. Just wish they would have stayed out longer. And one of the BEST meals we've ever eaten was our last night there at the Trails End. Great food and GREAT price!
The Cabin itself was a bit dark and although I love warm, cozy surroundings I did feel there wasn't enought light in the bedroom and bathroom areas. The Cabin wasn't very clean when we got there so I began to sweep and dust and wipe off hard surfaces with our Clorox wipes the first evening. My daughter lost her slipper one day there and while looking for it I found drink bottles under the beds which was nasty. And there isn't a lot of storage for clothes and suitcases. We put our dd's stuff in the drawers in the bedroom and we "lived" out of our suitcases the entire week.
The kitchen was wonderful to have and made breakfast and snack time a breeze. Loved having our own deck. We were in the 2500 loop which was very close to check-in but very far from the marina and campfire.
All in all...it was a neat experience and we're glad we tried it. But....CR and Poly....that's where our heart remains!
