Just back from BCV!

We just got back yesterday from a week in a 1 BR at BCV. We were in 548 overlooking Spaceship Earth. Our view pretty much looked like that found in the advertising materials. We could see Illuminations at night, but that view was more off to the side. Still breathtaking though.

This was our first trip "home", and we loved it. We will probably even do an add on before the price goes up in December. We ordered extra housekeeping every other day of our stay, since that is one of the things I like when I am on vacation. The only thing I didn't like was that the charge appeared on our bill immediately as opposed to a charge appearing each day it was done.

The World was quite empty, which was a bit eerie. Never in my 30 years of going to the MK can I remember there not being a line for Dumbo or It's a Small World. We did the Keys to the Kingdom tour, and I highly recommend it. We also got our pictures taken by Disney Event Productions at the MK. I hope they turn out.

Glad you had a great time. We added on at the BCV but won't be staying there until next May. We are leaving two weeks from today for a 10 day stay at the BWV, our original home. Did you specify a specific view or floor when you made your ressies?

hi tara. we just returned 2 weeks ago . we stayed in room 429 and 427. what a great view huh? saw all the fireworks. it was so great... we own at OKW but BCV was great!! did you see those lights on the 5th floor. they never went out . sorry for those people who were trying to sleep or trying to see the epcot fireworks right????dave

ceejay - We requested nonsmoking, top floor, Epcot view. I am not sure whether you could request an Illuminations view i/o Epcot. The branch of the building to our left would have seemed to have a more direct view of the fireworks. This reservation was made in April or May (I think), and our room was ready when we checked in at about 2:00.


nydizfan - It was annoying that the lights on the balcony never went off and there isn't a switch in the room. But, at least the drapes were heavy enough that you could sleep.


lawgs - From the main elevator, we went down the hallway and took a right at the Trash closet. We were almost all the way down the hall. Great room though!
