We just got home today from our first trip with our DVC and had a great time!

Here are our reviews-

BCV- Room 231 dedicated studio over looking the woods area. It had a small balcony and a partial Illuminations view all the way to left side. Our room was a little worn, dings in walls and chips on the corners. The coffee table had some stains on the surface but nothing to deter from our enjoyment, it just needed some touching up. Checked in on a Friday at 9:30am, room was ready at 4pm.

This week it was cold and it rained a lot so we didn't get to enjoy SAB nearly as much as we would've wanted so we were pretty bummed about that.

Pros-
SAB!!
Short walk to Epcot
Quiet

Cons-
Room needed some touch up work
View wasn't that great (no palms ;) )

BWV- We LOVED this place! Room 2057 dedicated studio overlooking the Village Green, right above the Gallery. Checked in on a Saturday at 9:30am, room was READY! The room was very clean and showed no signs of wear, we loved the layout and the extra bathroom vanity space. This room felt bigger then our BCV and it felt more like a vacation home to us. The view was great, we loved to people watch, lots of fun. It was so close to everything, the pool, stores, bus stop, very convient.

Pros-
DVC pool was so warm!
Community Hall
Location, location, location.
Kids loved Luna Park although the pool was on the cool side.
Room was big and very nice.

Cons-
Noise in the mornings from power washing and at night for a bit from bar crowd coming home.
Bus system soming back from parks, too many stops.

Overall we preferred the BWV over the BCV which really suprised us.

Any ?? ask away! ::yes::

Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit.

How many people did you have in the studio? My GF and I will be staying in a studio at VWL with maybe her DD13. Did you find it to be too crowded or just right?

Thanks.

Oh, what does SAB mean? I can't find the acronym.

As new BWV owners, it's great to read your post! Thanks for the report!

When's your NEXT trip and where will you stay?

Glad you liked BWV. We stayed at BWV last time and fell in love with it. Have an upcoming BCV stay and are curious to compare the resorts.

Tickled to read that you had a great time during your trip. Not surprised at all that you enjoyed BWV so much. To us, it represents WDW vacations.

We had 2 adults and 2 children(3&7). We didn't find it crowded at all, we were used to staying in a regular resort room so we really enjoyed the extra space and amenities of the studio.

SAB= Stormalong Bay, the pool complex. :)

I think we're going back this summer or early fall and will probably stay at the BWV again. Although were thinking of maybe trying out the VWL.

I think BWV and BCV are both wonderful resorts, each with it's own advantages. Glad you had a great trip. Sometimes room location between resorts can also make a difference. The differences between the two aren't as great as between other resorts.

2 questions about your BCV room:
was that woods view the view that some people have described as "jungle/wetlands" view?
and was room 231 close to the elevators?

and, about your BWV room:
what were the power washings??? what time of day were they?</font>

We had that room before and it is the jungle/wetlands/woods view. We could see some of Illuminations from our balcony. We loved the location and view. Yes, it was close to the main elevators and stairs, if you prefer.

Yes that was it. It was very close to the elevators.

At the BWV they power washed the boardwalk some mornings by the bicycle rentals. The other noise was just general maintence, like carts being dragged and stuff like that. It was never in the early morning though, always after 8:30 or so.

Glad you enjoyed your trip!! What did you request for your BWV stay in order to receive the village green? (did you specifically request village green?)

::yes:: Although next time I think we might want to request a different location that's a little more quiet since we like to sleep in when were on vacation.

I had a question about your BWV room -- was that considered a Boardwalk view? I wasn't clear on that when they went to confirmed Boardwalk views.

Village Green rooms are not classified as boardwalk view they are preferred view. I have had these villas twice since the change and it is definitly considered a preferred view not a boardwalk view. Also, I had a boardwalk view villa booked for my May trip but then had to change the trip dates to June. I could not get a boardwalk view for June, but was able to put a request for a village green room on my preferred view reservation.
