Ok I can officially say that I am hooked forever. I think this is the best thing that our family has ever done. I do not even know where to start....
I guess with the beginning. I have waited my whole life to take this trip. Growing up my family never could afford to travel to Disneyworld, so I always felt like I had missed out on something. Now don't get me wrong... my parents did the best they could but were never really able to spend that little extra on a Disney trip. Anyway, as a parent, I have always wanted to take my daughter to Disneyworld. I wanted to make sure she got the experience that I never did. So, with my daughter 8 quickly approaching 9, it hit me. She is growing up.
Disney is something we need to do quick, before she is too old to believe. With that realization in January, I told DH this is our year for Disneyworld. You see money has never been as much an issue as TIME. God we never seem to have time for anything, especially a vacation. I was determined! I told DH we are going in May when I have vacation from work. You can come or not but DD and I are going. Enough said! Amazingly, he found time. I now know that we do have time for things that we make a priority. Thus, this trip literally changed my life and the way I will live it in the future!
Fastforward to two months ago. I come home and hop on disboards to get the latest info on anything. This is my first trip afterall, and I know I need valuable info from the professional disers. Anyway, DH looks at me and says what if we take the nieces too? What? I was amazed! Many reasons, but primarily because DH is "thrifty" and seldom offers up such elaborate gestures.
I proceeded with caution.... I pointed out that our budget would not change and that we would not be able to splurge as much. He didn't mind. DH said he thought DD would enjoy Disney more with her cousins since they are all three close in age, and he wanted to make sure our nieces would have that chance to go.
Now what did I say about those life lessons? Again money and TIME had always been an excuse for us not to go in the past, but now not only do we have the time but the finances to take two addional people as well. So there we were our party, time, and finances in order! WE wre going to DISNEYWORLD!!!
