Just back from 10 day trip...?'s

The family and I have just arrived home today from 10 days/9 nights. We stayed at a couple Priceline hotels the 1st 2 nights (Clarion Maingate, Nikki Bird) and CSR for the remaining 7. Went on the Armed Forces Salute and had an awesome time. We did a few days at Universal at the start of the trip and the rest in WDW. I found myself disappointed in Universal, probably because I compared too much too Disney, and there is no comparison in my mind. Mission Space was awesome but left me feeling weird for the rest of the day. Philharmagic was wonderful, and Wishes was great as we watched from the deck on top of the Contemporary. Crowds were very manageable and we saw everything that we wanted to see with no long waits. Any questions at all, fire away. Thanks.

do you think 10 days was too long or too short or just right? I am planning a trip for my 4 year old DD and it will be her 1st time so I have a alot of activities planned to make it extra magical. I always just go with myself and husband and it doesnt usually take us more than a day in each park. Any advice you have would be appreciated in helping me plan.

I arrived on a Saturday and started that night. I left the following Sat. AM after breakfast. It was a long, tiring week. On Wednesday, DH put in about going home on Friday and I put my foot down. My legs were sore before Sunday was over. The bottoms of my feet hurt so bad every p.m. By Thursday night, I was hobbling. Thank goodness for moleskin or I could not have walked Thursday night or Friday.
I would never admit it to DH, but on Friday, I was wishing we had left. Soooo tired. I've read posters where their small kids ASKED to go home. It'll be a lot for a 4 yr. old, but you definitely need to stroll her. One of our bus drivers told us that there'd be 2 more parks by 2010. I'm too old for that NOW, let alone in 7 more years!!! Just got back from 8 days, still didn't see it all. The biggest difference for me in the world with kids was getting autographs. It is amazing how much time that eats up. My DD5 and DS2 just loved to see the characters. Pre kids we could get twice as much done in a day, so ten days sounds right to me. Remember to use the fastpass. I wrote a lengthy reply on how to use them on my just back thread. Because we used two strollers my kids had no problem doing 8 days, they had more energy at the end of the day then DW or myself.

Where did you pick up the Armed Forces Salute passes for Disney and Universal? I am going the 10-17 of December and I was curious where you pick them up. I was planning to spend one day at Universal.......will I be able to see the main attractions?Thanks

Skylarr29: 10 Days was long, but we were able to go at a much slower, relaxing pace which was very nice. We have a 6 yo DS, and an 8 month old DD. We did lots of swimming and breaks, so everyone was happy.

THEBIGBUG: We got the Disney passes at the first park we visited which was MGM. Just go to any window and they will take care of you. Took about 10 minutes to get everyone's passes. At Universal, we went to IOA first and got them at a random window. Took a bit longer here though. We actually spent about 2 1/2 days at Universal and saw mostly all the big attractions.
