We are a family of 5 (dh, 15 yo ds, 7 yo ds, 4 yo dd, and myself), and we all wore Crocs at some point during our 10-day visit to WDW (July 13-22). For the first couple of days, older ds refused to don a pair, wearing his hot, sweaty but "cool" tennis shoes. He finally caved after we refused to have his very stinky shoes back in our resort room. After that, he didn't want to take them off.
Prior to our trip, dh and I made a point of wearing our Crocs more than any of our other shoes, just to properly break them in. While we knew that we should alternate our Crocs with our other shoes, we did not do this the first 3 days of our stay. Our Crocs (Dh wore his Caymans, and I wore my Mary Janes.) just felt so comfortable! At the end of day 3, I realized that I had a blister forming under the callus on the bottom of my heel. I had never had a blister here before! Dh had one forming under the ball of his right food. His was much more bothersome than mine. We switched to our Teva sandals for the next couple of days, until the blisters had gone away. After that, we were careful to wear one pair of shoes in the morning and another pair for the remainder of the day. We had no more problems.
7 yo ds wore his Caymans every day with no problem. This was surprising since he seldom wears shoes once school lets out in mid-May.
Dd wore her Caymans for the first half of the trip. That's when I realized her little feet were covered with blisters (She refused a stroller this trip!!!). She never complained. I covered her blisters with bandaids and had her wear a pair of Striderite fisherman-style sandals. These other sandals hit her feet in exactly the same spots where she had blisters, so she requested going back to just her Caymans. Despite the blisters, she found these Crocs very comfortable.
