Just Returned from our first trip since 1995.

We are 2 adults early 40's and Son 14.

CBR (Moderate) 6 Nights / 7 Days

Free DDP, Hopper Pass, Water Parks and More Pass

Photopass

MK, DHS, AK, Epcot FW, Epcot WS, DTD, & BB

Snacks: Frozen Lemonade, Dole Whip, Mickey Ice Cream, Butterfinger Cupcake, Cinnamon Bun.

Quick Service/Counter Service (CS) Pecos Bills, Germany, Sunshine Seasons, Picnic in the Park(AK), Whole Lottawatta Lodge(BB), BW Bakery, Earl of Sandwich, CBR Port Royale, ABC Commissary.

Table Service (TS): Le Cellier, Chefs de France, Tutto Italia, 50's Prime Time, Sci-Fi, Yak & Yetti, Captain Jacks(DTD)

All of the food at Disney was just fine. Some meals were better than others, but nothing was terrible.

I wish I had planned more of the TS meals for lunch rather than dinner. I found that the dinner ADR's held us back from moving around. It would've been better to be held back by ADR's earlier in the day and then have the rest of the afternoon and evening to "go with the flow" without worrying about ADR's. There's always next time! :3dglasses (I can see the future)

Great time. :thumbsup2

Any questions? :flower3:

How was the CBR? We are going in December and booked a standard room..not a preferred room which I believe is closer to everything. What building were you in and how spread out is everything? I usually stay at the POFQ which is small in comparison but wanted a change this year.
How was the bus service? Any info or tips about this resort would be great! Thanks!:)

we're hoping to eat at a lot of the same restaurants!
Did you like Le Cellier or Tutto better? Can't decide on that one. And what did you think of Capt Jacks?

I am also coming to CBR Next Sunday, I did pay extra for better room. What is the resort like, are the busses a pain, what building is the closest?

The CBR resort is great. Plenty of bus stops. We were in "Martinique" and they had a bus stop centrally located for all guests in Martinique. The same for all other areas of he resort as well. Buses were frequent and plentiful.

How were the lines for the rides? We leave next Wednesday!! Can't wait!!
Mon-Fri was great. Not much of a long wait except for the really really popular attractions like Toy Story or Rockin Roller coaster. Sat and Sunday tended to be busier.

Hey NJ! Us too! Both Le Cellier and Tutto are very good in their own way. Le Cellier is a classic Steakhouse. The NY strip was excellent! As was the Filet Mignon. Tutto was a more authentic Italian experience. You can't go wrong with either one. It's a matter of taste. Captain Jacks located in DTD was a little bit more modest in comparison to some of the TS restaurants in the parks. The menu is more modest as well -- except for the Crab Cakes at $23? which are excellent. The service was great. They were speedy and the food was very good. DS14 had the Shrimp Alfredo and loved it. Not nearly as busy as the Park restaurants -- we walked up and got a table in 10 minutes. This was our meal prior to going to Quest. AFter dinner we simply hopped onto the water taxi over to the other side of DTD!

CBR was just fine. We are Park intensive guests -- meaning that we only used the resort for sleeping. We were usually out by 9am and back by 11pm or later. The CBR is clean and comfy. Bus stops are convenient. It is a spread out resort -- look at the map. The Port Royale was only a short walk from our section -- Martinique. I liked Martiniuqe as it was the first stop for the buses -- good for the pickup in the am and great for the drop off in the pm. The food court was adequate. The 24 hour main pool at port royale was nice but the local pool in our section was just as good for us -- clean, large enough, all set up with tables, chairs, umbrellas. We used the pools in the night only. It was only a short walk.

Did you feel like the photopass photographers were easy to find and plentiful? I have read people have been saying there are not many around?

We had over 70 photos on our photopass after 6 nights.

Photographers were usually located in areas where there were classic and iconic backdrops:

MK -- Main Street approaching the castle (several)
MK -- at character meet and greets

DHS -- routes with the wizard hat as backdrop
DHS -- Rockin roller coaster
DHS -- the route approaching Hollywood Tower

AK -- One or two areas with either the Tree of Life or Everest in back

Blizzard Beach -- Wave Pool
Blizzard Beach -- The Huge slide (forget the name)

which TS did you like best? What did you order Yak and Yeti? Did you like Yak and Yeti?

Best TS? Well, for starters, all of them were really good. There really aren't any bad choices. The NY Strip at Le Cellier was awesome -- the experience at Italy was really nice as was the food and the desserts. The crab cakes at Captain Jacks were excellent.

At Yak & Yeti I ordered the Skirt Steak dinner -- YUM!! Yak and Yeti was very good -- all 7 of us enjoyed our meals. NOTE: IF you should go on any water rides where you get your clothes wet then you'll want to delay going into a restaurant until you dry off as it is really cold in the restaurants when you are wet -- disney does a nice job in pumping the A/C when it's hot outside!!!! We all liked this restaurant.

Did you enjoy Les Chefs de France and 50's Prime Time Cafe?

Chefs de france was great! All of the choices were fantastic. Although the appy cheese plate was too simple -- would've preferred to have something more unique. The Mac and Cheese on the menu is more for adults and less for kids as the cheese was like swiss and the flavor doesn't work so well for kidsl. I'm sure that the mac and cheese on the kids menu is better suited for kids.

50's Prime Time was a fun experience. Food was simple and less elegant, but plentiful and tasty. This is a must go to restaurant at least once. I probably would pass on this one during my next trip.
