Hello! Don't know if this has been covered or not but wanted to fill everyone in on the new system for checking kids versus adult credits. Every restaurant we went in wanted to know our check in date. Since we had checked in on 12/31 we were still the old system and they were all relieved. When I asked them why they said now they have to actually print up two seperate reciepts to keep track of child versus adult credits and they look at the card that way when all the adults are used up they are done. Also-at one restaurant she told us that since our card said 'adults-5 'and 'children-2' we could not order the kids adult meals and use adult credits. We could only purchase 5 adult and 2 kids meals. (which BTW is just fine with me!! that is what I paid for!!) So anyways, the servers seemed to really dislike the new way as it is much harder for them but Disney is definately working on keeping track of the 'cheaters'!!

Let me preface this by saying that I am a huge fan of the DDP.

I would imagine that some of the servers hate it because now they are not able to "pad" the bill as much, to boost up their 18% tips.

I think you've shed some new light. A couple of servers said they have to run two checks, one for kids and one for adults. There is suppose to be a computer change in a few weeks so they can combine adult and child DDP guests on one check.

One poster said they got seperate child and adult CS credits remaining printed on their receipt, other posters said they were allowed to get adult CS meals with "child" credits.

Sounds like Disney may be waiting until all dining guests checked in during 2007 before they implement the rest of the controls.
