We just got back on Sunday night from 15 great nights in Fl. Here is where we ate:
1. Bennigans-next to Vistana (our first week) and the food was not very good at all.
2. Afternoon Tea at the GF-fabulous as usual
3. Orlando Ale House-decent food and prices, great place to watch a game.
4. Romano's Macaroni Grill-good food and service
5. Boma-breakfast, great food and service
6. Bahama Breeze-my favorite offsite restaurant and I love the ultimate pina colada.
7. Fulton's-had late lunch there and it was really good.
8. Artist Point-my favorite on site restaurant but I was disappointed with my berry cobbler this time.
8. Big River-DH loves the mahi-mahi sandwich and the beer sampler
9. Brown Derby-our first time there and it is a must do next October.
10. ESPN-I don't like the food but DH loves the wings.
11. Cape May-Great buffet with lots of selections (dinner)
12. Chefs de France-OK, DH was not thrilled with his tuna
13. Palio-very good food and service
14. Narcoosee-great food and service and I loved the drink Florida Breeze
15. Fresh-brunch on Sunday morning (our last day)-we made the mistake of ordering oj and it was extra (3.50 a glass!) other than that very good brunch and everything is "fresh".
16. This one doesn't count but we had fish and chips at Nathans at the airport.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Can you expand on your Narcoossee's review? What you ate, how it was, etc. I am going in December and reviews for this restaurant are scarce. Thanks!

Being a New Englander, Cape May does not hold much appeal.

Since you are certainly near the water in Jersey, what were the highlights? What made it worth the visit?

Thanks for posting! Lucky you, 15 days in FLA!!! :goodvibes

Narcoosee- I had the salmon which I pretty much order everywhere. It was really good. DH had the calamari app. and it was huge, enough for two but I don't eat calamari. He really enjoyed it and his tuna was cooked perfectly for him (rare). We were too full for dessert but they have nice ones there and specialty coffees as well. DH ordered a mixed drink also which is rare. It was some blue drink that had sours mix in it and he enjoyed it. Mine had banana liquore, vodka and pineapple or oj not sure which. The service was very good but there were a ton of children so it was quite noisy but we were there over Easter break.

We like the Cape May because there is a lot to eat and it isn't like the other buffets on site. DH likes the clams and mussels. The shrimp is just ok but I'll eat it. The salmon and mashed potatoes are good and the desserts are really good, especially the oreo cookie thing. DS liked the ribs.

This is how I feel about Cape May also. It has a really good variety of different foods. I grew up in Maryland and spent a lot of time on the eastern shore (and New England too) so I know my seafood. I wouldn't say that the seafood there is fabulous--heck, it's a buffet, but what they do have isn't too bad. My DH also liked the clams and mussels there. They weren't the best we've ever had, but they aren't gross either.

We live on an island, seafood is plentiful in our area. No, it is not the best but the price is right and it is good for families, there a lot of choices that kids love (chicken, mac and cheese, pizza, mini hot dogs) and a nice variety on non seafood items also.

Can you tell us a little more about Artist Point? What are you favorites there, and why was the berry cobbler disappointing this time?

Yes, I want to know about the berry cobbler too.
Also, what did you have at Boma's? Do they have an omelet station where you can pick your ingredients?

Thanks for the reviews, sounds like a great trip. :goodvibes

Thanks for the reviews! Was there anything you did like at Chefs de France? We are planning on eating there for the first time in May, and I am a little worried. My mom is going with us, and she has been to the real France twice! What did you have at Artist Point? We are also going there.

Enjoyed reading your review ~ Thanx for sharing.

Artist Pt.-I love the salmon there and as always it did not disappoint me. DH had the tuna and he said it was wonderfu. The ice cream on the berry cobbler was a little weird, it was just not like I remembered.

Chef de France is ok, but I prefer the lunch menu. I had the veggie lasagna and it was good.
