First of all, we did not stay on property. We were in the park by 9:00 and went first to Jimmy Neutron, planning to get a express pass for Shrek afterwards. Got to the express pass line at 9:20 and the return time was 4:45! Also, we returned another day at around 11:00 and there were NO express passes to be had. My advice is to either do Shrek first or get an express pass first thing. Hope this helps.

Yikes, the hair stood up on the back of my neck when I read that you went to Jimmy Neutron first!

I intend to be stepping over people to finally see Shrek this weekend!

Thanks for the heads up!

kathyg's report soun ds about right, based on my experience. This attraction will be HOT for a long, long time.

If you want to see Shrek...get there at or before park opening...it doesn't take long for the wait time to go up to 90 minutes.

Shrek 4D is excellent.

Skip Jimmy Neutron...not impressive at all.

I disagree about Jimmy Neutron. I would say that Jimmy is better than Shrek. Don't get me wrong I am a Shrek-a-holic, but I thought Jimmy was better. I'm glad I didn't wait for 95 mins because then I would have been really disappointed. If you have the choice, go for Jimmy!

Good advice kathyg (could also try walking backwards thru the show exit... j/k!).
Glad both JN & Shrek are big hits. They'll both be gotta-dos for us for awhile.

wow...my experience this past Monday was at about 9:20 or 9:30 AM the earliest time slot for Shrek was 6:10 PM!!

She's not kidding people!!

Thanks for the info ~ Can't wait to try it!!!

I thought the same thing when I heard you went to Jimmy Neutron first, long line for Shrek ahead.

The newest attraction always draws huge crowds. Sure, Neutron is new, but it's been up a few months, so the locals got their rides.

The next time I visit, I'll be at the gate at 08:00am, and goto Shrek first.

how long are the lines for other attractions and jimmy, if shrek is so popular?

Wow... those waits! Despite Express I'm pleased I'll have FOTL when I'm there in September.

What you do: Get your Express ticket for Shrek as soon as the park opens. Head over to Men and Black and/or Back to the Future RIGHT AWAY!!! You can get MANY rides! Wait is like 5 minutes! My mom and I went on MIB 5 times and Back to the Future in about 1 hour time!!!! Pretty good, eh?? Get as many rides there as soon as possible because by lunch time, people have made their way over to that area.

PS - for even SHORTER wait at MIB, even when it's a short line, go to single riders and good chance you'll be together because of short line...but you may still get split up. You make that call if you want to risk it. (I do single riders...don't care if I split up with my parents. That way I'll look like a real pro to the people next to me!! ;) )

Jimmy Neutron still gets a long wait. Everyone goes straight to Shrek and Jimmy Neutron. These are the two new rides and people start there (thank goodness they are at the entrance!!!). Shrek gets the longest line award, but Jimmy Neutron still gets at least 45 minutes sometimes...if not longer.

Well, I'm down here right now and I plan to be at the park at 8:30am tomorrow! I'll let you know how it goes!

About how long is the wait if you arrive at the park close to closing time. We will be there 8/14-8/17 and have AP, we plan to hit the parks late afternoon on the 14th.

We tried several times later in the day to see Shrek--even with FOTL, the waits were over 30 minutes. The Express Passes were gone and the regular line was still showing 90 minute waits a half hour from closing. By the time you go, though, Florida schools will be back in so hopefully the waits will be much better.

We'll be there towards the end of Sept. with 2 kids (my dd3 and my niece, 12) who are dying to see both of these...Do you think that the lines will be shorter by then? The park only stays open until 6pm two of the four nights we'll be there, the other two it's only open until 7pm!!! I hope I won't be in line for these two from open til close!!lol

I know they are in separate parks, but would you do Shrek before hopping over to IOA to do Spiderman? (If you only had one day for both parks)

I would, definately. Shrek's lines back up way too much. Either you can do that or get an Express and head back over later that day.

You can also do Spiderman in the Single Riders line--that was even shorter than the Express Pass line.
