Just back 6 nights at CBR

We had a great time but glad to be home.Stayed in Trinidad North building 32 only a few minute walk to Old Port Royale.I was disappointed in the new food court area.We were there the same time last year and enjoyed it but this time,they took out the best shop,the ICE CREAM stand no really good dessert selections.Had a great college program gal Latasha check us in.We had a somewhat complicated check in but she was very pleasant and accomadating.We also got towel animals 2 days.But the best part was meeting a fellow DISer on the bus back one night!!!!Any ?'s ask away.

Thanks for the info. I missed that shop also. I loved their pies. You can buy them by the slice but it isn't the same. I just got my desserts in the park instead.

did you have enough time to grab something for breakfast in the food court and then make it to the ee parks? we have a car so we wouldn't have to wait for a bus. thanks

How was the crowds at the parks and water parks? Did the hours seem true to what is posted on their official site. The last time we went, May 2003, the hours seem to change day by day, which often confused me, especially e-ticket night.

I love desserts, especially on vacation, since it is not something I usually allow myself to have at home. I was so disappointed that there was no bakery or ice cream station at CBR. I'm not big on pie and the selection of pie was the same for all 11 days we were there. They did have some cookies and cupcakes each night but not the same as an ice cream sundae. The resort was nice though and lack of dessert options would not keep me away from this resort.

Goofyrn13, did you use the bus service at all? If so, how was it? I am considering not renting a car this time, but I'm a little nervous about the whole bus thing. Also, do you remember how early/late the food court was open?

The food court is open till 11. As far as the buses most people report no problems with them.

You said no bakery!! Yikes, I thought I read that there was a place you could get bakery items. Is there a place for muffins and bagels or danish in the morning?

There is all types of bagels, donuts, bread for toasting in the Grab and go market in the food court. No problems finding food for breakfast.

CBR is a beautiful resort. I truly feel like I have escaped the world when I stay there. Glad to hear you enjoyed the pics.

The bus system seemed to be better this year.We never had a long wait.We had a car and the only place we drove was to DTD and the Boardwalk.I would not worry at all about not having a car unless you plan to do any off site touring.
We never ate breakfast in the food court.We were out by 8 am every am and just grabbed something at one of the parks.Plus we had a character breakfast one of the days.
The bakery usually was empty by the time we would get there in the night and it seemed the Calyspo trading store had downsized.
The park times posted on the Disney site were pretty accurate and at check in you get a times guide with all the hours and shows posted.I will be posting a small trip report along with food reviews in the nexyt day or so.
Also we did do laundry but be prepared it costs 2$ to wash and dry.I had brought my own soap.I had found these cute little Tide bottles at Walmart for $ 1.47.
N2mm-the only parks that felt crowded was MGM and MK but with fastpassand a daily pm shower the afternoons were actually very pleasant.On Sunday June 29th Splash,BTMR,POC were all walk ons at 6pm.I'll be posting a trip report and food review in the next day or so.

I did get the dining reviews done,but I peck when I type and it took me longer than I expected,so I am going to start on the trip report now and do it day by day.Head over to the restaraunt borad and check out my dining reviews and I'll be starting part of my trip report tonite.
