So, I did a mini trip report and wanted to do a separate one reviewing our dining while on our brief trip.

Arrival night - Dinner at Sanaa: I must admit that I went into this meal with strong reservations as I've never really eaten Indian food and the menu nor pictures of the entrees looked very appealing to me. We got the bread service with all accompaniments. It was kind of...interesting...but I found that I just didn't care for most of the accompaniments. Some were okay, some I just really didn't like. The breads themselves were just okay to me. I know this is the restaurants famous offering, and I'm sure for a palate different from my own it's a great thing, but I found myself guzzling my Coke to try and chase away most of the flavors of the bread and accompaniments. I wanted so badly to like it, but I just didn't.

I got the Potjie Inspired pairing with butter chicken and aloo masala. This, for me, was nearly inedible. I don't fault Sanaa at all, it just wasn't to my taste at all. My friend got the beef with hers and let me taste it. It was better, and I probably could have tolerated eating more of that, but I wouldn't say it was good.

Again...totally a personal taste thing. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was good, but my palate just isn't a fan of the type of food. Glad I tried it at least. We were staying at Kidani, so it wasn't out of the way or anything. Kind of expensive...about $75 without tip, and that was with a Coke and just an ice water for beverages. At least we tried it!

Epcot morning - Breakfast at Sunshine Seasons: This was fine. We both got the breakfast sandwich on a croissant with the breakfast potatoes. I couldn't even finish mine, but it tasted fine and fueled me up for the day ahead. Plus it was so convenient after rope-dropping Soarin' and before our Living with the Land FP+. It wasn't crowded at all, and...yeah. It was breakfast.

Epcot afternoon - Lunch at La Cantina de San Angel: Either we were just really, really hungry or this was outstanding food, or maybe we're just easy to please! I've never really heard rave reviews about this place, but we wanted to try it, we both love Mexican food, and while busy, it wasn't unreasonably so. I got the cheese empanadas that came with a side of Mexican slaw (I think that's what it was called). So good! My friend got the chicken tacos and she said they were delicious. The only negative about this experience was the food took a while. I got mine and went and grabbed a table and waited for quite some time before my friend came along with her food. But it was very busy as it was right around noon. We nabbed a great outside table overlooking the lagoon, but they also open up La Hacienda de San Angel (TS that only serves dinner) for additional indoor seating which is nice. I think I'll definitely eat here again!

Epcot snack - Ice Cream at L'Artisan des Glaces: I mean....it's delicious ice cream. What else can be said? I got the chocolate macaron ice cream sandwich thing...OMG. Yum. The cookie part was harder than I expected, but I managed to devour it just fine. My friend got chocolate ice cream in a cup and liked hers a lot as well. No complaints.

Epcot evening - Dinner at Via Napoli: I'd heard rave reviews and the pizza lived up to the hype. I'd had my heart set on the quattro formaggi since about two years ago when I first read about Via Napoli. We were unsure if we should get the smallest individual one or the medium one meant for 2-3 people. We wound up getting the medium and we couldn't finish it. We took the leftovers with us but never got around to eating them. We also got the family salad which was very good. And let me just say, that despite that pizza coming out and looking like waaaaay too much food, I ate 3 big slices of it. I surprised myself! My friend ate 2 slices which left 3 slices that we had boxed up and that ultimately got pitched in the trash in our room, but oh well. It was a delicious dinner, and the service was great (and handsome! lol!). Our table was near a window, and it was just a really nice experience all the way around. A pretty good value too. Three people could easily have eaten well off of the meal we got, and for about $60 with tip included. Not bad at all for Disney. I will not hesitate to return, that's for sure.

MK morning - Breakfast from Main Street Bakery: This was the second most disappointing meal of the trip, but unlike Sanaa, this was not due to my personal taste but rather the quality of what I got. My friend and I both got the breakfast wrap that has steak and cheese and egg and onions. It just wasn't very flavorful at all. I ended up dumping a lot of the filling out into the trash and just eating the bread. Still, it was quick and curbed our hunger for the time being. If I eat at MS Bakery again for breakfast, I'll choose something else.

MK afternoon - Lunch at Columbia Harbor House: I'd eaten her previously, so I knew what to expect. My friend and I got the same thing...chicken and fish platters with fries, which is what I got on my last visit to CHH. It was good. I was pretty much famished because breakfast had been a bit of a letdown. My friend preferred the chicken to the fish, while I enjoyed both equally. The fries are basic MK fries. The restaurant was very busy, but the lines for ordering and picking up food were moving quickly and we found a table in a tucked away spot upstairs that was perfect. No complaints, and CHH will remain one of my "go to" quick service places in MK.

MK snack - Sundaes at The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor: Yummy. My friend got the All-American sundae and I got the brownie sundae. She liked hers well enough, but didn't seem to think it was exceptional or anything. Mine was exceptional, and if I had two stomachs I would have happily eaten the entire thing. As it was, I only managed to work my way through about half of it. So good though! The quality of the ice cream, the whip cream, the fudge, and the warm, moist brownie....mmmm! Soooo gooood! Got a decent table outside (with umbrella), which was just luck as the place was pretty crowded.

MK evening - Dinner at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe: This was was another pleasant surprise! We weren't really sure what or where we wanted to eat, and contemplated Casey's Corner (which I've eaten at, and was happy to do so again), but it was slammed. So we went to Pecos Bill's and strangely got cheeseburgers (we were afraid the Mexican offerings would be a letdown after La Cantina the day before). Well, we took our burgers to the fixin's bar and loaded the up. I put salsa, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and shredded lettuce on mine, and let me just say...it was great! Next time I will not hesitate to get the fajita platter, tacos, or nachos. The burgers came with a side of nacho chips, and I dressed those up with offerings on the fixin's bar as well. I devoured my entire meal. Really hit the spot! This is probably my favorite QS in MK now. And like CHH, it has seating inside, both downstairs and upstairs. When we went, they had a large section of the seating area roped off and were cleaning it, and we were still able to find a table.

Departure day morning - Breakfast at Boma: This totally lived up to the hype, and I found myself once again wishing I had more stomachs so that I could eat more. The Jungle Juice was very tasty and refreshing, and the buffet is so extensive and stocked with so much great food. I tried all of the African-inspired dishes and thought they were all good. Also got bacon and sausage and that glorious french toast bread pudding with vanilla sauce drizzled over it. Again, I wanted to go back for more, but my stomach just wouldn't let me. Best breakfast I've had at Disney World yet by far, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. Glad we got the chance to stay close by and try it though.

Departure day afternoon - Lunch at The Mara: This was a very tasty surprise as well. My friend got the carved turkey sandwich and I got the crispy chicken BLT sandwich. She got hers with chips and I got mine with slaw, but it had fries AND slaw with it, which was fine by me! The sandwiches were pretty huge and very tasty. My friend really, really enjoyed hers. I liked mine a lot as well, and thought the slaw was delicious. Despite being right around noon (slightly after), it wasn't too crowded at all, and it's quite nice for a QS restaurant. The menu is also pretty extensive and varied, which is nice. Folks staying at Jambo have a gem in that place.

And that was it! I'll admit, after the rocky start at Sanaa, I was really worried about how dining was going to go this trip, but I wound up having some of the best meals I've ever had at Disney from that point on. Nothing fancy, just "good eats" that hit the spot and kept us fueled up for our time in the parks. And we went from rope drop to closing both park days, so fuel was important!

Thank you for your reviews! Sounds like you had a whirlwind trip!
I have also wondered if Sanaa would be to my taste. Not flavors I've had the opportunity to try - than you for your honest reviews.

Thanks for writing the reviews. As far as Sanaa, was it the Indian flavors or African flavors that you didn't like? I have avoided it because my husband isn't a fan of Indian flavors, but he loves African flavors.
