Just curious... My payment is due next week.. I doubt I'll get the card by then :( How long does it usually take to get the card after applying?

I think we actually did get ours a week later. I had my husband apply and they couldn't tell him right hten if he had been approved and a week later, there were the cards in the mail.

Suzanne princess:

I applied online, was told the result right away, and was able to use the card right away, and got the card in the mail a little over two weeks later.

hmmm... I called and asked if I could do that and they said 'no'.
I've had a Disney Visa before years ago... I canceled it about 2-3 years ago and now I want it back. I have almost perfect credit, I don't see why they wouldn't give it to me right away..

that was probably bank one, huh? or was it the actual disney card?

if it was a visa, what you might want to do is call and ask if they'll re-open the account. if you closed it on good terms, some banks will actually agree to that (although 2-3 years might be a stretch). that way you keep all the history which is better for your credit.

i don't think i've ever had chase give an instant approval. i didn't even think they did that. usually you get the 30 day notice regardless. if you call them within a day or 2 though you should get an answer but it wouldn't help you until you got the card anyway.

chase is great.

I received an instant approval from Chase a couple months ago and was given the option to book online right then. Received the card about a week later. I would guess they won't give the account number over the phone though due to security reasons.

So did you apply over the phone?

I just followed the links on the official Disney website, and they had a temporary account number that enabled me to use it right away, in fact, when I went to the payment screen, Disney Visa selection was already selected with that temp account number filled it. They made it very easy to get started using my new credit.:lmao:

I went to chase.com/disney or whatever the site is.
I didn't do it from Disney.
Before I applied I saw that it said it will take about 30 days, but sometimes, cards do come quicker, so I just applied anyway.
Then I called about 2 hours ago. I told the girl that I applied on the internet and she said it takes 30 days, sometimes sooner, sometimes later.
My payment is due next wednesday. (I still owe $1400!!! :scared1: ) I HOPE HOPE HOPE I get it in time. It's 0% financing.

I applied online and received my card about 5 business days later. It was super quick!!!

I recieved mine in 5 days.

I also applied on the internet. You should call back the day before your balance is due and see if they have an account number for you. If they don't, tell them you are not interested in the card as your balance is due tomorrow. I am sure they will find a way to get you an account number to bill it to.

I applied on line at the disney website. Received cards exactly one week later.

I applied online last Sunday. The card came on Thursday. I hope your card comes that quickly too.

I hope you get it by Wednesday Too. I relate. The 0% is exactly why I got one. I waited until a couple days before the final payment was due to maximize my 6 months!

This is what we did in 2006. In fact...our payment was due in just 2 days when we applied, got accepted right away and used it to pay off the trip..all online within about 10 minutes

around 2 weeks it was quick. We also got the gift card with ours from the coupon in the back of the Birnbaums book, right before we left. :cool1:

even if you do not get it in time i would not worry to much...my mom had to make her last payment last week but she did not get paid until yesterday...well I called last week and they said for her to just send it in when she got it....they said they dont just cancel someones vacation (but you have to have at least the deposit down)they first send a letter saying it is past due and then give you another date that it has to be paid by.my best friend did this too, also last week, she still owed 1000.00 (we are all going together).

As convenient as it is...sometimes its a little scary how easy it can be to get and use credit.:scared1: This is also how we bought our last computer! 12 months no payments, no interest.:rolleyes1 And our airline tickets with Bill Me Later:rolleyes1 ... I guess you only really get into trouble when you don't pay it off by the time the 0% intro period ends. But so far so good. I'd really be dancin' like the banana if I just had the cash on hand in the beginning! I guess I just need that added pressure/motivation to save.:confused3

I applied at the Chase website, which said I should receive my card in the mail in 30 days. We got it in about 8 days.

why put yourself in a place where you own money on a credit card, it may be 0% right now but later it is alot more..also why not just send in a little as you can until it is paid off...as long as you are paying they will not cancel you...this is what more than one cm told me just last week.If you really want the card it only takes about a week or so to get it or they will send a letter declining you...also I have heard it is really hard to get that card (unless you have really good credit)I have the disney visa but not to pay for vacations,i got it so that i can get free dining early if they have it,or to get the rewards i will put something on it and then mail in the money for it so that it is paid right away and i still get the rewards.

hi i applied online last tuesday and recieved yesterday i like the NOinterest 6months part of it ihave acd but does not rollover till nov heres hoping fot great packages for december
