i keep seeing all these post about people being SO disappointed about not getting any dreams, or that they spent time searching for the dream team cm's . why would you waste your time worrying about it when you are already at the most magical place on earth my family is going in a few weeks, and we feel like our dream has already came true just because we can be there. and if we do get a dream granted, wonderful. but if not, then we won't be disappointed because we weren't expecting it anyway.

I would fall head over heels if today I got the FASTPASS or ears. I would do anything, because I'm a Disney freak, and I love the ears, and I collect FASTPASSes.

THANK YOU!!!! Have felt like this from the beginning! We would love to win something, but it will certainly not tarnish our trip if we don't! I too am a Disney Freak, but it is because of "Regular" Disney, not "contest" Disney.

Yup. Yes, it would be great to win something, but DF and I definitely didn't and don't expect it. We never win anything, ever. We just feel very fortunate that we can afford to see the Big Cheese every year.

That goes double ditto for my family! We just absolutely love being in WDW. We feel very fortunate that with carefull planning and lots of saving...we have been able to go as frequently as we have the last few yrs. I love everything about it, from reading the WDW guide books, to checking hours and festivities online, planning itineraries...and last but far from least, popping on here everyday to enjoy the fact I'm not alon in my love for everything Disney! Heck...I even enjoy packing!

We just came back and we got YOAMD ears. We were waiting in line for muppet 3d and they let about 25 of us in. There was a yoamd castmember who said to us "I guess you know this is something special" and we were all given ears. You'd have thought we won a million dollars. DH(41) wore those ears all over the park.

You are so right!! During my last visit I sat on a bench at MK and just people watched. I realized then that there are people who save money their whole lives for a vacation of a lifetime at Disney World. As guests we treated like royalty at every location on property. Magic happens in small ways and big. I think I am with some of you in that if one of those YOMD CM's stopped me or anyone in my family....HECK yah I'd be happy...but just being there with my family making vacation memories is all I need every summer. Too cheesy...sorry, it's just how I feel!

I'm a winner when I go on vacation each year. I'm with my family and I'm at Disney. What could be better? Anything extra- like winning is icing on the cake. Not that I wouldn't be happy and excited to win...........but it's not going to ruin my vacation!

I think the reason some people are bummed.. is b/c its talked up so so much.. even when you first get there I had friends that were told about it.. so then it made them look for the dream team..... I agree.. its a dream just to be going to Disney World!

I totally agree with you! I just can't wait to go with my DD in 29 days

She doesn't even know about the possiblity of staying in the castle. We are just planning on having a great time with some friends and seeing her favorite characters.

i agree aswell. im just glad to be going. also, dont people realise there is less chance of winning if you keep stalking Dream cm's. they will notice and they will ignore you. these cm's must be bombarded by people wanting prizes.

I totally agree awesome post! We went in Nov (YOMD had already started) and the kids knew it was YOMD. None of use were dissapointed that we didn't get any official dreams. We had plenty of magical moments thanks to awesome CM's. I cannot imagine all we would have missed out on walking around looking and waiting for something "special" to happen. We are going back in July/August (suprise bday trip) of course it would be nice to recieve a dream but I will be more than happy with the awesome CM's we were blessed with being around the last time we were there. : Plus this trip was not supposed to happen so my wonderful husband has made my dream come true ... everything else will be the icing on the cake.

I agree as well. You shouldn't be going to WDW expecting something magical to happen, when your at the most magical place on earth. The magic lives within the park, and it shouldn't matter if you get a prize for visiting or not.
