Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

More pictures :-D

I don't get why there are giant cutlery...

I don't think i've seen that many Cinderella's at the same time whilst in Walt Disney World :p Also, where are the Sleeping Beauty costumes?

I think the idea of getting a pager is quite interesting. It sounds like a non-Fastpass. I just wander if you get the pager when you enter the area, and you're not allowed to leave that area until it goes (which probably won't matter to the kids but might bore the adults sitting in the bleachers...) or if you can explore the rest of MK before going back.

Most of all, I think I'm just thrilled WDW's Fantasyland won't be so tacky anymore.

Plus, I think it's the first to have Dumbo appropriately themed to something.

Bummer no facade for IASW, though.

Here's a video with some more concept art. I didn't have the sound on, so these are random guesses on what I saw. They may contradict what was actually said :p

Looks like there's gonna be a Cinderella show, or something similar (maybe Cinderella wishing to go to the ball, Fairy Godmother comes and grants it, then we come along to the ball with her)

In the Sleeping Beauty area, looks like arts & crafts. I read you're celebrating Aurora's 16th birthday, and you see her opening birthday cards, so it looks like that's what we're doing. Creating birthday cards...

The Belle area looks quite awesome. I only just noticed Lumiere on the right hand side of the picture in the Be Our Guest restaurant. Also, will this tavern introduce alcohol to Magic Kingdom? Final observation is that there's storytelling in the Enchanted Library. Does that mean the Fairytale Garden is closing?

Ariel's Adventure looks similar to the one in DCA. Don't have much to say there.

Nothing new with Dumbo. I did notice the burning house in the background of the second picture. That's quite cool.

Pixie Hollow! That looks quite cool. How are they going to give the illusion you've shrunk before entering?

They make the flowers and grass big like they did a DL for the meet n greet Pixie Hollow.

Yep, those are pretty much the same things Fishie said, but I didn't write them--Throw Aurora a 16th birthday, Go to the Ball with Cindy, etc.

I highly doubt they would add alcohol to the US Magic Kingdoms... one would assume they'd have already added it to the Liberty Tree Tavern or wine to Tony's.

I assume, like Ariel's Grotto being moved to a more appropriate location, the same is being done to Belle's Enchanted Storytelling (or whatever it's called).

Maybe non-alcoholic alcoholic beverages (or fake alcohol?) That would be funny.

What about the fairies in Sleeping Beauty. Shows them flying around the room. I'm assuming holograms, AA, or some sort of trick. Can't see actors doing it really.

Well they have done face-character fairies in the Parade of Dreams at Disneyland... But they also do this cool video-screen/projection/pepper's ghost effects of them in the Sleeping Beauty walkthrough (but that also is in the original animation style.. not real life)

Maybe it'll be like the movie, and they turn into humans as we arrive so it can be extra special. Maybe we get to help make a cake, as well as make birthday cards :teeth:

These areas are true to the movies. What's the chance of a real life music video happening (i'm thinking of the Belle area, with the first song. That could be interesting) even if it's fan made.

Well Disney loves their viral marketing, so I could see them putting up a youtube video of the princesses singing in their respective lands.

That should be fun to watch.

I read that Star Tours will have new ideas that are not found in any other ride in any other theme park in the world. Sounds interesting. I wonder if we'll still have Rex...

Great Pictures!

So... wait... TWO CASTLES? Beast's and Cindy's? Or keep Cindy's and have a small-just restaurant-type thing for Beast's Castle? Cause I'm telling you right now, there is no way I want two castles there.

IMO, Cinderella's Castle and Sleeping Beauties castles are the best. But, you can't have two castles...

Looks like the castle is going to be forced perspective. You do enter the castle for the Be Our Guest restaurant, and other things, but according to the video (I listened to it this time :teeth: ) the way to get into the castle is through an enchanted mirror at Belle's house.

Oh cool... the entrence thingy sounds cool, I;m wondering if anyone will be able to understand it though... also, I'm not sure how two castles will work out...

gaston's pub is supposed to be in the new referb right? well, pubs=beer, and beer is alcohol and alcohol isn't sold in the magic kingdom, so is this going to be a beerless pub or are they breaking the rule? i've been wondering that since the thread about this on the community board.

It's called Gaston's Tavern. In a picture, it shows some sort of dark liquid in a glass mug. Could just be Coke, or it could be beer! Maybe the worst they'll sell is root beer? What is root beer anyway?

Well.. like I said they already have Liberty Tree Tavern = beerless tavern, so no difference to me?

I think Beast's Castle will be something like this, only bigger:

^ That's Cindy's castle on the Storybook Canal ride at Disneyland.

Could be no difference. I wonder what will be served in both restaurants, other then turkey legs...

One thing i'm liking about this new renovation is the amount of greenery, and water. It looks like it shall be great if done properly.

Yes, if this renovation doesn't recieve the typical slashes WDW was (and I actually have some faith I won't), it wil give WDW so much more credibility to me.

I would actually have a legitimate reason to spend 3 days + in the MK... 1 1/2 is usually way more than enough.
